Immortality Starts From Making Money. Chapter 77

The news of the Dust Valley Team spread throughout the Western Region.

For the first time in ages, the Western Region was bustling throughout the night of the match.

Every city street was talking about one thing: football.

Every clan master and elder gathered together to talk about football and, most importantly, Ren’s last penalty kick.

"Father, how did he miss such a golden chance?" Fang Chen looked at his father, still confused.

His father sipped his tea and wore a wry smile. ’Son, if you ask me, who am I going to ask?’

Everyone was still confused at Ren’s miss. He had no disturbance, no pressure. Just play the ball inside the net.

Even though there was a goalkeeper, that meant nothing. The net was big enough for him to score.

"Clan master, what do you think about this football game?" an elder asked.

All the elders in the hall turned their heads and looked at the clan master.

The Fang clan master did not respond immediately. He thought about the sensation inside the stadium and a deep sigh escaped from his lips.

"The Dust Valley Sect young master is a monster," he said slowly.

He had not been scared of anyone in the business world since he took over the Fang Clan, but Mo Jian’s extraordinariness scared the shit out of him.

Every one of his actions influenced the Western Region. With the success of the football game, only the heavens knew how many young people would want to become a football player.

The reward received by the Flame Tiger Team was so earthshaking that it made a clan leader like him jealous.

"We need to have our own team." His voice was low, but everyone in the hall heard him. "I believe every clan in the region is thinking the same thing."

"In two days, I’ll meet the young master." His voice left no room for discussion. "Also, Elder Fu, start looking for a young man that could join our team from tomorrow."

Truly, every clan in the Western Region was having the same discussion with their clan elders.

Creating a football team did not require any cultivation technique or whatnot. All you needed was able men that could kick and run after the ball.

This only fueled the importance and uniqueness of the game of football.

Inside the Dust Valley Sect, a thick gloomy atmosphere permeated the air. Those that did not watch the match had all heard the news of their defeat.

If their opponents were the Radiant Sect, they wouldn’t have been this sad. But a mere bunch of gangsters defeated them.

The thought alone irked them to no end.

Inside the grand hall, all the elders were glaring angrily at Elder Kang.

"Elder Kang, can you tell us why you lost to a mere gangster?" the Sect Master asked in a deep voice.

Their sect boasted of many outstanding talents and many experienced elders. Yet, they lost to the Flame Tiger Gang.

Are they not as good as a mere gang?

Feeling the anger of the Sect Master, Elder Kang did not know what to say. He opened his mouth several times, but no word came out.

What would be his justification?

Is it because it was a new game or that his players did not have time to train? So was the Flame Tiger Gang.

Cultivation-wise, no one used their cultivation.

Thus, there was no excuse.

Perhaps he could try to blame the players. That could only prove he was not a good leader.

He shook his head dejectedly.

Who knew a mere mortal game would have such an impact on him this much?

The Sect Master looked at Elder Kang for a moment and knew what was going on in his mind. He did not blame him for once.

It was not his fault Ren missed such a golden chance. Nevertheless, as a leader, he must be held accountable.

"My son is going to create a football league. Before the start of this football league, I want you to challenge the Flame Tiger Team one more time."

"This time, you need to show them why we are the Dust Valley Sect."

"Yes, Sect Master. I won’t disappoint you," Elder Kang responded, breathing a sigh of relief.

With the Sect Master becoming a Golden Core expert, the pressure coming from him was so suffocating it made an intermediate Core Refining Stage-6 warrior like him tremble.

"Good. Whatever you need, the sect will give it to you."

From this, everyone in the hall knew the Sect Master was not taking the matter lightly.

They needed to gain back their lost prestige by all possible means.

While the sect was preparing to regain their lost prestige, Mo Jian, the orchestrator behind everything, sat inside his room with a light smile playing on his lips.

[Congratulations! You created a football game. Your influence in the Western Region has increased.]

[With this, no one can match your influence in the Western Region.]

[Reward: Innate Root-Seeking Vision.]

[Note: Do not get complacent. The host should work harder to increase his influence beyond the Western Region.]

[Do you want to use the reward now?]

Mo Jian did not hesitate to choose ’Yes.’

Instantly, a piercing pain came from his eyes, and he winced, closing his eyes subconsciously.

The pain was so great that he felt an invisible power was gouging out his eyes and replacing them.

Black blood streamed from his eyes. He groaned and fell off from his seat, spasming on the floor.

After ten, the pain began to reduce gradually. Finally, the pain disappeared, and a deep sigh of relief escaped from his mouth.

If he had known it would be this painful, he would have prepared himself mentally. Slowly, he opened his eyes, but nothing looked different.

He concentrated on the vase, chairs, table, and everything. Nothing worked.

"Are you kidding me?" he muttered in confusion.

Just then, he saw the black blood on the ground and decided to clean his room. He couldn’t imagine such thick black blood was in his body.

A light knock came from the door, and Zhao Tian pushed open the door.

"Young master..." His voice trailed off when he saw Mo Jian covered in blood.

"Nothing," Mo Jian responded and raised his head to look at him.

Instantly, a screen appeared before his eyes.

[Cultivation: Mortal Rank-9]

[Talent: Business (Ordinary)]
