The very instant High Priest Remus had started his monotonous, gibberish chanting that went over his head, Leo had zoned out completely.
More than the boring ritual, he was interested in the know it all of this new world he was going to live in.

Just then the Lightning fell on Aliana, and after a series of ruckus and chaos, the hall had erupted into awe over the B-Class Blessing of the Thunder God.
’Damn that bitch is lucky,’ Leo shook his head in disappointment, ’Now what will you say, my dear Aiva?’

It was at that exact moment, that a spark flew past his head, and formed a hole on the pillar beside him.
’Fuck, she is already after me.’ Leo cursed as a frown appeared on his face. He was angry. But before he could do anything, he saw the lightning strike the chandelier.
He saw the iron chain slowly melt, and then snap. He saw the massive chandelier plummet. And suddenly his Predator’s Instincts kicked in as he saw her. Lady Seraphine, frozen to her spot, directly under it.
No one jumped in to help. They were all uselessly standing on their spot while a few of them were on the floor, crying and groaning in pain.
Leo didn’t think, his body acted on his own. Thanks to his Agility: 36 stat, he moved like a cannonball through the panicked crowd.
"MOVE!" he roared, and he physically shoved the nobles out of his path. They were sent flying as they crashed into one another, clearing a perfect lane.
He reached Lady Seraphine in a single, heart stopping second. She was still frozen looking up at the falling chandelier with her eyes wide open.
There was no time for him to gently pull her away. Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around her and both of them dived forward. He put his hand behind her head, to make sure that during the fall, she didn’t hurt her head.
The momentum carried the two of them forward as they crashed on the nearby table, breaking the table into pieces.
The two of them rolled across the stone floor with Leo doing his best not to let Lady Seraphine get hurt.

The instant they cleared the space, the multi-ton iron chandelier slammed into the exact spot where Lady Seraphine had been standing.
The impact was so strong that the stone floor shattered, exploding in a cloud of dust and rock pieces.
The shockwave from the impact knocked the nobles away.
The flame and the smoke from the chandelier filled the hall, choking the nobles.
Leo’s roll carried the two of them several feet away. When they came to a stop, his arms were locked around her. His body instinctively covered her, shielding her from the rain of stone fragments and hot wax.
The hall was in chaos, the only sound was the crackling of the dozen fires that had been started by the scattered burning candles and the coughing of the nobles.
"Aggghhh!" Leo groaned in pain.
Panting heavily, he looked at Lady Seraphine who was pinned below him. Her face showed a mix of shock and fear on her face. Her breath was caught in her chest.

Her eyes, still flickering with that blue lightning, darted to the back of the crowd, finding a specific servant who was calmly standing near an exit, as if nothing had happened. The servant, a man no one had noticed, met her gaze.
She gave him a nod and the man without delay moved forward with steady steps. He moved without making the slightest bit of noise with stealthy steps.
He ignored the cowering nobles as he walked past them, his eyes locked on the two figures still on the floor.
And once he was close enough, with a bloodcurdling roar, the so-called servant leaped from the crowd. A long, gleaming, curved sword appeared in his hand.
"FOR THE TRUE LORD OF THE..."
