Meanwhile, Lu Jinyang lying in the other hospital bed was completely ignored.
The baby had eaten, and without even opening his eyes, he fell back asleep. Ye Han was utterly dumbfounded by this.
Nanny Zhang explained, "Newborns do nothing but eat and sleep, they don’t often open their eyes to play."
In the evening, worried that Lu Zhiyuan and Yang Qiao couldn’t handle three kids, Ye Han instructed Nanny Zhang to stay the night and she went back home first.
Lu Jinyang woke up shortly after. He first looked around and then was shocked. Wasn’t he supposed to accompany Xiao Qing in the operating room? How did he end up lying here?
Where was Xiao Qing?
"Jinyang~"
A weak voice came from beside him, and Lu Jinyang immediately got out of bed. When he saw Xiao Qing on the adjacent bed, he was full of regret.
"I’m sorry, I..."
"It’s okay, I’m just happy you made it back in time."
Seeing her pale face, Lu Jinyang felt incredibly distressed. He took her hand, holding it in his palm, and brought it to his lips for a kiss.
Xiao Qing knew he felt guilty but also knew he was tired, so she decided to shift his focus.
"Jinyang, see if our son is awake, and check if he’s hungry."
Lu Jinyang finally raised his head, "Where is the baby?"
She smiled slightly, "In that baby crib over there."
Following her gaze, he saw the tiny crib. He walked over, peering down at the sweetly sleeping little face, his brows furrowed tightly.
"So small~"
Xiao Qing couldn’t help but chuckle, "Newborns only weigh a few pounds, they can’t be big."
He nodded, "That’s true."
"Do you want to hold him?"
Lu Jinyang nodded and slowly reached out to the tiny body but retracted his hand halfway, "Never mind." Such a small child, he was genuinely afraid of not controlling his strength and hurting him.
Xiao Qing laughed silently; this fearless man was actually scared to hold a baby.
At this moment, Nanny Zhang returned and was delighted to see Lu Jinyang awake.
However, Lu Jinyang instructed Nanny Zhang to go home and rest, telling her to come again tomorrow.
"But, Mr. President, do you know how to make formula and change diapers?"
"Such simple things, I’ll figure it out once I try."
Nanny Zhang shook her head, "This cannot be taken lightly. For making formula, add water first, then add the powder, thirty milliliters of water for one scoop of powder, don’t add too much or it’ll upset the baby’s stomach."
Lu Jinyang’s brows were about to knot together; who knew making formula was so particular?
Seeing that Lu Jinyang couldn’t remember what Nanny Zhang said, Xiao Qing told Nanny Zhang, "Nanny Zhang, you should go home, I probably won’t sleep tonight, I’ll teach him."
"But won’t that be too tiring for you?"
"No, it’s fine, you should go home first and come back after a good rest." Xiao Qing said.
Lu Jinyang had slept all day, so he wouldn’t need much rest at night.
Seeing Xiao Qing’s insistence, Nanny Zhang didn’t prolong her stay, but she reminded them, "If you can’t handle it, make sure to call me~"
Nanny Zhang had only been gone a little while when the baby woke up, his loud cries were almost operatic.
Upon hearing his cries, Lu Jinyang couldn’t help but comment, "This kid is probably more demanding than Lu Jincheng, let’s just call him Little Three."
