The Insect-Human BOSS had already been nearly crippled by Fleischer, but more Mutated Insects swooped in, preventing him from landing a sure kill.
"Retreat fast." The woman in leather clothes grabbed the unwilling Fleischer and blasted full force toward the sky, blowing open a Passage, planning to escape.
"Go to hell, go to hell." Fleischer was almost bursting with rage, but there was nothing he could do. This was the Bloodthirsty Vine’s home turf. If they didn’t leave now, they really would fall. Their reinforcements were too many.
By this time, the number of Insect-Humans had surpassed five hundred. They were spewed out by the Bloodthirsty Vine, coming to life upon contact with the air, and the first batch had already taken to the sky, dense and numerous, clinging to the sky like a green curtain.

Boom, the top of the Vine Cage suddenly exploded, and two Hellfire Armors leaped out, fleeing at full speed. Behind them, a large group of Mutated Insects kept firing Light beams and Sound Waves, trying to bring them down. And the Vines, seemingly intelligent and relentless, desperately stretched their Thorns, trying to ensnare them.
The Insect-Human BOSS was not of the same kind as they were and also felt its life threatened. Faced with a dozen Mutated Insects closing in, its arms and legs suddenly broke off and shot out, then exploded into a cloud of green smoke.
The Monster self-destructed, executing a self-sacrifice tactic, using the smoke to delay them.
Mutated Insects that encountered the green smoke were immediately poisoned, and the smoke also had a sticky quality, causing them to move as if they were in a quagmire. However, a few Insects skilled at flying dodged it and chased after the BOSS.
The detachable parts of the Insect-Human BOSS writhed, sealing the wound, stopping the Blood, and even regenerating. Realizing it couldn’t escape, its legs also broke off and exploded as they fell near the Mutated Insects.
The BOSS, reduced to just its torso, had less weight. Its wings flapped rapidly, carrying it away from the Vines’ grasp. It was lucky that Fleischer and the other two had drawn away most of the Bloodthirsty Vine’s firepower; otherwise, it would have surely died.
Tang Zheng also had some luck. The base of the Vines, though well-developed and growing fast, had little offensive capability and could spit out only a few Insect sacs. This allowed him to escape without any life-threatening danger.
On the thermal Radar, several Power Armors retreated swiftly. Even the brown-haired man Yannick lying in ambush didn’t dare stay any longer because, with every wave of Insects emerging, they would take off and hunt, and of course, more went out to hunt and bring back prey to replenish their mother’s energy.
These Mutated Insects were very Strong, emitting a strange Sound Wave to communicate with their subordinates and then began to conquer various biological communities in the Tropical Rainforest.
Their hierarchy was very clear, determined by the order of their emergence. However, probably because of their reproductive capabilities, the females obviously held a higher Status, and they were usually protected by four or five male Mutated Insects.

A dozen seconds later, several Mutated Insects caught up. They seemed to be very skilled at tracking, and even without seeing Tang Zheng, they didn’t lose him.
As Tang Zheng fled the experimental Lobby, he dropped some high-yield TNT Explosives underground, but he reckoned that even if they were detonated, they wouldn’t cause Heavy damage to the Bloodthirsty Vine, so he decided to disregard them.
Seeing there was no escaping his pursuers, the Insect-Human BOSS plunged into the jungle, and ahead was a muddy swamp. It didn’t hesitate and barreled into it, immediately buried. This was its innate instinct, most suitable for concealing its presence.
Sure enough, the Mutated Insects lost their target, scattering in search but to no avail.
Tang Zheng landed in the rainforest, stripped off his Power Armor, quickly donned a Gas Mask, and with a leap, jumped onto the Tree branches overhead. Crouching there, he ensured he wasn’t detected, then started moving toward the swamp ahead.
There were plenty of Mutated Insects, and Tang Zheng didn’t want to be surrounded and killed, so he decided on a stealth attack.
A short, fat Insect with a shell on its back, resembling a ladybug, came into his view. Tang Zheng drew his knife and tapped the Tree branch with the hilt.
Hearing the noise, the Insect headed his way, scanning for the enemy’s figure. Just when it was looking around, Tang Zheng jumped down. His knife plunged through its head, piercing through the upper half of its body.
The Mutated Insect was Vital, and even with such heavy injuries, it still opened its mouth to Shoot a Light beam, but with the vocal cords and heart core damaged, it failed.
The Insect swung its triple-clawed Arms, bringing a mighty Wind Power, intending to smash Tang Zheng’s head.
To test the opponent’s strength, Tang Zheng didn’t dodge. After taking the blow, he felt as though a log had struck him.
"At least the strength of ten men." Tang Zheng grimaced internally; these Mutated Insects were truly formidable. One-on-one, a Newbie would have no chance at all.
With a twist, Tang Zheng stirred the knife and pulled it out. A large amount of green Blood squirted out, but Tang Zheng was slow to retreat. The next moment, he was in trouble.
Bang. Just before dying, the Insect blew itself up, and the blast wave flung Tang Zheng away.
"Treacherous." Fortunately, Tang Zheng had raised his Armature to protect his head, or he would have been seriously hurt. Looking at the Broken Flesh and Blood on his body, he gritted his Teeth and rapidly retreated.
