Infinite Providence: The First Legendary Death Supreme! Chapter 7

Chapter 7: The Spirit Mountain Sect!

"It’s about time I get out." Ken, having decided on his persona, finally took a step forward, and once at the door, he slowly opened it for the bright light of the sun to shine on him as if welcoming him to this new world.

"Well, this is indeed a cultivation sect." Stopping at the door, Ken had to blink a few times, as just the view from his doorstep was breathtaking.

In the sky, giant birds of different colors flew carefree as if they owned the world; thin streams of energy followed after them, and from time to time, items and disciples passed by, flying in the sky.

In front of him was his own little courtyard, nothing grand, just a couple of fancy-looking grasses and plants, but on the far side stood mountains upon mountains and clouds of different shapes and colors.

"It’s as if this world is trying to overwhelm me with its grandiosity." First the gacha realm of providence, and now the sect.

But, as much as he wanted to hide it, he couldn’t help but be shaken.

Ken’s eyes traced on each thing for a couple seconds, as if he could see something more, more than other people would.

[Low-Quality spirit grass; it’s only here to enhance this area’s spiritual energy. There’s nothing much to talk about, though, if you really have to, you could use it to make some special things... like pills.]

The ones only he could see spoke with him, telling him things and possibilities wherever he looked, as even when he looked at the sky, he could see words that, even if he didn’t read them, would directly jump into his mind, making him feel as if he woke up from a dream and didn’t know if what he had dreamt of had actually happened in reality.

In short, he struggled to figure out if he already knew such a fact or if it was absorbed just a moment ago. And it kept going on, feeding him knowledge, ideas, and thoughts, and even slightly, but more than he wanted to admit, corrupting him with its way of speaking.

The entire hint was absorbed as if Ken had an all-knowing eye, and whenever he looked at something, he thought about possibilities, ways he could use it, and all kinds of things...

The more he looked, the more he absorbed, and he could also disable the ability, but it helped him a lot.

If the provided info gave him secrets, then hints gave him the facts, the visible ones, or those behind what’s visible, but the difference was in the way, distance, and even the knowledge given.

If this continued, he would soon know the ins and outs of the sect; nothing could escape his piercing sight.

But the sheer size of this sect was crazy to even think about, as he couldn’t even see the end, and one had to be informed that to move around, one had to use space formations to instantly move from one edge to the other.

Thus, such a possibility was too far for now.

This entire place that spanned multiple of the largest cities back on earth was just the disciples quarters.

The Spirit Mountain Sect held its recruitment every dozen years, but whenever it did, the entire land sent their children, daughters, guards, and dogs to attend.

And whoever had a decent enough spirit root was chosen.

Just the sheer number of those recruited made Ken wonder about the percentage; was it large, or was the number of participants just that massive?

As he was now, he had no way of knowing; thus, he would focus on what was at hand.

"I should head towards the Spirit Scrolls Pagoda." Ken put a goal in his mind and then started walking.

He took out the map from his robe and pinpointed the library of this sect as he moved towards it.

Thinking about it, he had yet to eat anything this day, so he should head to the restaurant quarters to eat something after his trip to the library.

But Ken had underestimated the path to the second pagoda.

It took him an hour just to get there. It wasn’t long per se, but it just spoke of the sheer massiveness of this sect, even though everything in the disciple quarters was supposed to be close to each other.

There were two pagodas, the one the previous Ken went to, the Mountain Scrolls Pagoda. It had techniques and cultivation manuals, but the Spirit Scrolls Pagoda was more of a library.

It held information regarding everything this land held, the kingdoms that came and went, and stories of the first cultivator and the world history, as well as simple books and scrolls detailing what cultivation was and what one had to do in each realm, even though cultivation manuals usually explained that in detail.

Ken believed that whatever there is in this world, it relies on knowledge and comprehension; thus, if he reads enough, he will be able to skip over any hurdle and face any challenge effortlessly.

The path he had gone through was long but it didn’t take any of his energy, as the spiritual qi in the air replenished him, but he couldn’t say he wasn’t tired.

The beauty that was taken in as he was moving did more than just mesmerize him; it overwhelmed him.

It’s not that he was exaggerating, but that was exactly what the Spirit Mountain Sect wanted with this design.

overwhelming the viewer, they believed that it was one way of tempering the mind, as it would allow one to wield a calm spirit that has seen most of the wonders this realm has to offer.

This could even help the disciples in keeping their focus in dangerous situations and the scenery was installed with a formation that instinctively allowed one to know truth from falsehood.

This formation was built by a master; it was the lifelong masterpiece of an array designer.

This went to show how serious the path to power and mysticism was for the Spirit Mountain Sect and all those longing for it, as even while walking, one was trained.
