Infinite Range: The Sniper Mage Chapter 63

Bradley gave Orson a thumbs up and laughed loudly. "You're insane, boss!"

"But... can you really hit them from here?" Female Dorm God asked, perplexed. Even with his bad math skills, he could estimate that the southeastern outskirts of the city were at least 2-3 kilometers from the respawn point.

What is this guy, a mortar?

"Pay attention, young man," Bradley said with a mischievous grin. "This is what it means to have the range of a God-tier Mage!" He laughed maniacally, recalling Orson's incredible range when they fought monster hordes together.

Grabbing Female Dorm God by the arm, Bradley rushed toward the city.

They had a plan. Bradley would relay precise coordinates, while Female Dorm God would collect the loot.

A few minutes later, Bradley spotted the Saint Slayer Syndicate members.

These thugs were gathered near the healer NPC, spewing all kinds of vulgar insults. Even though their bodies had been blown apart in battle, their mouths were as sharp as ever. They were masters of stirring drama.

The world chat was now littered with messages tarnishing Orson's reputation, prompting even members of his guild to message him for clarification.

"Don't worry about it," Orson said over the guild channel. "Everyone, head to Pondenorlin City's respawn point. All the equipment and gold dropped will be split freely among you."

Although confused, the guild members perked up at the mention of free loot. Many abandoned whatever they were doing and made their way back to the city.

Meanwhile, the Saint Slayer Syndicate continued running their mouths.

"Hey, Godslayer players! What's up? Come give me a hug, sweethearts!" sneered Saint Slayer Water God, leering at some of the female guild members nearby.

"Ew, this guy's character is so ugly. His gear looks like old rags. I'm yucking from a distance!" one woman replied with disdain.

"Totally. I only have eyes for our Kai-Kai. He's the handsomest!"

"Right? Kai-Kai's not just good-looking; he's super nice too. He even helped me farm monsters earlier!"

Their chatter drew everyone's attention to Bradley, who sat cross-legged like a model of masculine charm.

"Damn it, don't distract me!" Bradley scowled, slapping away the playful hands of a few overly excited girls.

"Wow! A true hero! So many admirers! I'm so envious!" said Female Dorm God, his inner creep slipping through as he drooled over the scene.

"You idiot! Get ready to grab the loot!" Bradley snapped, giving him a swift kick in the rear.

Not far away, Saint Slayer Water God mocked Bradley, standing smugly within the respawn zone's healing aura.

"Wow, such a tough S-tier warrior. Why don't you just stay here forever? As soon as you step away, I'll make sure to take good care of your girls!"

"Is that so? How about you try staying online?" Bradley replied coldly. He knew better than to charge into the respawn area recklessly. The healing aura, combined with the sheer number of enemies, would spell certain death.

The Saint Slayer Syndicate players clustered in the respawn zone weren't there by choice. If they left the healing aura, the empire's guards would hunt them down on sight.

Bradley's voice came over the guild channel. "Coordinates: 132.37. We're in position."

Hearing this, Orson, stationed in the outskirts where he'd previously farmed mobs, issued a guild-wide warning:

"All members, step back 20 meters to avoid collateral damage."

"Seriously? He can hit from here?" Female Dorm God muttered in disbelief. A 2-3 kilometer range sounded more like the attack radius of a dragon boss than a mage's spell.

Bradley chuckled ominously. "If you want to stay alive, stand behind me. My buddy's about to fire a wave of pure destruction."

As the guild members nervously retreated, a Paladin named Iron Cavalry scoffed.

"Look at this posturing. It's all talk. Orgod's just blowing smoke to cover his failure."

"Shut your trap and watch," Bradley sneered. "Your opinion isn't needed."

"Fine. But mark my words: if we lose the guild battle later, I'm out."

"Go ahead. Quit now. But if I see you again after, I'll cut you down without hesitation," Bradley shot back, reminding Iron Cavalry of the five defeats he'd suffered in their last duel.

A gasp shattered the tension.

"What in the... Comet Strike?!" cried Female Dorm God, his eyes glued to the sky.

"What... is that?!" Iron Cavalry stammered, his face pale.

Above Pondenorlin City, a colossal meteor—nearly 100 meters in diameter—descended from the heavens.

The meteor burned brightly, its surface erupting with fiery sparks as it plummeted through the atmosphere. Its enormous shadow engulfed the respawn area, and panic spread like wildfire.

"Fall back! FALL BACK!" Bradley roared, dragging two girls by the arms as everyone fled in terror.

"Dude! Are you insane? You're going to kill us all!" he bellowed into the guild chat.

"Crap... why is this thing so terrifying?" Orson muttered to himself.

He had expected Celestial Descent to summon a slightly larger-than-average rock. Instead, the 2,000-mana spell had conjured an apocalyptic meteor.

Those who witnessed the scene were stunned. This wasn't just some AoE ability.

This was doomsday incarnate.

The meteor crashed down with a deafening roar, unleashing a cascade of shockwaves. Entire buildings were leveled, and the once-bustling respawn area became a fiery wasteland.

Dozens of Saint Slayer Syndicate members were annihilated instantly. Even bystanders were caught in the devastation.

Orson's sin value skyrocketed.

Pondenorlin City quaked violently as if struck by an earthquake. The sheer destructive force was unfathomable.

Splash Damage: -1500!

Splash Damage: -1500!

The combat log scrolled relentlessly, displaying over 400 damage notifications. The attack dealt massive direct damage, followed by countless physical impacts from shattered debris.

The area looked like it had been struck by an S-tier forbidden spell.

Orson stood in silence, grappling with the implications of what he'd unleashed.

He realized that the physics engine of Infinite Dimensions had amplified his spell's effects. Most Earth Mages would never achieve such devastation because their limited range restricted Celestial Descent's potential.

However, Orson's unparalleled range allowed the meteor to gain immense speed through gravitational acceleration. By the time it hit the ground, the resulting explosion sent thousands of fragments hurtling outward like shrapnel.

This wasn't just a spell—it was a calamity.
