Then she turned to Ava and said, "Ava, don’t you have a habit of taking a walk after dinner? Perfect time to go out with Young Master Kingsley."

Ava didn’t want to run into Poe Vaughn’s sister again; though the chance was slim, last time’s incident happened against all odds, so she couldn’t risk it.
Ava said, "I remember the view from your rooftop is nice, shall we go up and take a look?"
Ava looked at Jace, seeking his approval.
Jace was slightly moved inside but showed no change in expression: "Okay."
The two headed upstairs, as Lauren watched, a smile of an affectionate aunt appearing on her face again.
As long as they were together, she was happy.

Normally, Ava loved to go for walks; it was unlike her to stop and gaze at the scenery , it was completely out of character.

The rooftop of Jace’s building was entirely flat, with flowers and plants growing, making it a perfect spot for barbecues in the summer.
