Internet Breaking: The Powerful CEO Reveals His Supermodel Wife Chapter 8

Ava Sterling returned to Aurelia at night, with only two hours left until the flight Lauren Howell booked for her.

She decided not to go back and waited for Lauren at the airport.

Lauren had the keys to the house and would pack up luggage for her.

Ava wasn’t worried at all.

Sitting in a chair in the airport lounge, she pulled down her baseball cap, crossed her arms, crossed her legs, and rested with eyes closed.

Ava was low-key, but her supermodel aura and height advantage made her stand out, drawing glances from people passing by even if she wasn’t dressed stunningly.

"So young and already hooking up with men, a natural temptress!"

"No wonder her mom doesn’t want her, and neither does her dad! Serves her right!"

"Look at what she’s wearing, no matter how much she earns, it’s still disgraceful!"

"That heartless little thing, her grandma worked so hard raising her, lying sick in bed yet she doesn’t come back, truly heartless!"

"Ava Sterling, you bastard, get out, get out!"

The images appeared one by one, chaotic, and Ava wanted to open her eyes but found she couldn’t.

It was like a drowning person, about to suffocate.

"Hey! My beauty, your phone’s off, do you know how long I’ve been looking for you?"

A hand heavily smacked Ava on the shoulder, and she shivered, eyes opening.

Moisture in her eyes, everything in front was blurry.

As if those images were still there.

The hand on her shoulder shook her, those blurry images disappeared, replaced by pairs of moving legs and the reflective marble floor illuminated by lights.

The sound of the airport broadcast fell into her ears, accompanied by the noise of people around.

Everything became clear.

She had actually fallen asleep just now.

Ava squinted slightly, the moisture in her eyes receding.

Lifted her cap, frowned at Lauren Howell: "Turned off?"

While talking, she pulled out her phone, only to find it was out of battery.

Showed the phone to Lauren, shrugged: "I didn’t do it on purpose."

Lauren’s face turned dark: "Come on, don’t tease me, so many power banks, don’t you know?"

"Forget it, hurry up, the plane is about to take off."

Quickly, Ava was dragged by Lauren onto the VIP passageway, boarding the plane.

The plane took off at ten sharp, Ava didn’t want to sleep, asked Lauren for the schedule at the back.

Lauren handed her the schedule, talking as she did: "Rare for you to care about the schedule, though you’re not really busy during this period."

"Once you finish this Delphos City event, you won’t be unbearably busy."

"But, won’t be too idle either."

Ava flipped through the schedule, heard her contradictory words, and laughed: "So am I busy, or not busy?"

"Not—hasty—not—busy—!"

The two chatted quietly, Ava looked enough and took a travel magazine to flip through.

At this time, Lauren remembered something: "Was last night okay?"

"Though I know you agreed with a clear mind, I still have to ask."

Ava flashed back to those superior cartoon-like legs, clicked her tongue: "Quite good."

This look, as if tasted something delicious, made Lauren horrified: "You... you you you..."

You’s for a long time without a reason, finally squeezed out a sentence: "If it were someone else I’d be worried, but it’s you I’m not worried!"

Yeah, that’s the confidence Ava Howell gave to people around her.

She’s strong, not fragile, no matter what open or hidden attacks can’t pierce her heart. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ novèlfire.net

Delphos City, late night.

Neon dazzling, lights full in the sky.

In this city with excellent tourism economic development, even at deep night, it’s still crowded, traffic incessant.

A black Bentley drives steadily in the traffic, the night’s lights fall on it like a king’s presence.

Quentin Quinn sat in the passenger seat, using a tablet to report to the person in the back about work changes due to some unexpected situations.

Suddenly, the phone vibrates.

Quentin’s voice stopped.

Poe Vaughn leaned back against the seat, eyes closed, embraced by darkness.

The phone rang, his eyes opened, took out the phone.

Light appeared, illuminating his face, displaying his defined features, deep, sharply defined.

Looking at the incoming call on the screen, finger slid over the answer key, raised his eyes: "Grandma."

"Haha, Poe, are you asleep yet?"

A kind voice came through, not a hint of tiredness in the late night, on the contrary, very spirited.

"No, on the way back to the hotel."

"Haha, that’s good, that’s good."

Listening to the voice on the phone, Poe made no inquiries, waiting for Sharon Sheridan to reveal it herself.

"By the way, Grandma remembered something, remember your Uncle Song?"

"Haha, your Uncle Song is returning to the country, and his daughter happens to be coming back with him. That daughter has grown really pretty, truly a transformation as one grows older, more and more beautiful."

"Speaking of which, you played together when you were kids."

Poe said nothing, Sharon listened to the silence inside, clearly waiting for her to continue.

She didn’t hold back, continued: "You see, you’re not young anymore, all alone, working busily all day, no one waiting when you return home, Grandma feels really sorry."

"Your Uncle Song’s daughter is beautiful, has a good nature, very composed, a good girl for family life. Why not meet her for Grandma’s sake?"

The words were clear enough.

Poe looked at the scene outside the car’s windshield, the car moved forward, lights heavily layered, like intoxicating eyes.

Hearing this, it should be disappointing, sad, yet Sharon felt completely excited.

It’s this answer she wanted!

"I have a girlfriend."
