Invisible Security Guard Chapter 214

In fact, Yusuf Zuck, who was squatting in the luggage compartment, never expected his photo to appear in media all over the world, and he had become a terrorist wanted by the United States!

That night, many people couldn’t sleep, and many were also incessantly dialing Yusuf Zuck’s phone number.

Unfortunately, Yusuf Zuck’s phone was turned off, so no one could get in touch with him.

Late at night, Delaney Valencia, who was studying at a university in the capital, made a phone call to her brother, Jade Cooke, and asked, "What do you think?"

"Hehe, I don’t know," Jade Cooke said with a light laugh.

"Is it him or not?" Delaney Valencia continued to ask.

"What do you think?" Jade Cooke countered.

"Same name, even though the ages are different, the nationalities are different, but he looks the same, so I am certain, one hundred percent, it’s him!" Delaney Valencia asserted.

"What difference does it make if it is him or if it isn’t?" Jade Cooke continued to ask.

"Uh... won’t he be in trouble if he shows up in the country again?" Delaney Valencia asked, bewildered.

Jade Cooke paused for a moment, "Perhaps he will be, the relevant departments will likely seek him out."

"So what should we do?" Delaney Valencia thought for a moment and said, "He’s a nice person, even though he did something bad, but he did it abroad. Should we help him out?"

"There’s no need at this time, things haven’t become clear yet. If the relevant departments investigate and confirm it’s not him, then wouldn’t we be making things worse by interfering?"

"If the relevant departments want to investigate, they will certainly confirm it," she said.

"We still have to consider what mom and dad think, I’ll talk to them tomorrow."

"Alright, I’ll come back tomorrow too." The siblings then hung up the phone at the same time, while Jade Cooke continued browsing through the related news.

Meanwhile, Louise Garrett left the house, making a phone call to Samuel Ross as she walked.

Samuel Ross, Benedict Cooke, Dream Morrow, and Jerome Hart were unaware of the news on the internet. In the middle of the night, it wasn’t their habit to go online, so the four of them were drinking at the time, including the senior, Felix Zuck.

When Louise Garrett called, Samuel Ross was a bit tipsy. He didn’t try to avoid the others; Louise Garrett was his sister-in-law. Although he was older than Yusuf Zuck and Louise Garrett, everyone collectively referred to her as sister-in-law, even Sara Zuck called her that.

"Sister-in-law, what’s the matter?" Samuel Ross glanced at the time; it was ten at night, and he thought Louise Garrett might have an issue.

"Did you see the news on the internet?" Louise Garrett asked urgently. Follow current novels on novel·fiɾe·net

"The internet? Only Sara’s room has internet, we don’t have it. What news should we be looking at online?" Samuel Ross responded casually.

"Yusuf Zuck is in trouble," Louise Garrett said, taking a deep breath.

"What?" Hearing Louise Garrett’s words, Samuel Ross’s chopsticks clattered to the ground.

"What happened?" Samuel Ross abruptly stood up, instantly sobering up.

"Hold on, I’ll be there soon, open the door for me," Louise Garrett said before hanging up.

"What’s wrong? What happened?" Seeing Samuel Ross’s grave expression, and the previous mention of sister-in-law, the rest of them stood up as well, worried if something might have happened in the dead of night.

"Hold on, sister-in-law is coming, Yusuf Zuck is in trouble," Samuel Ross said as he went to open the door.

Felix Zuck was stunned for a moment, then became silent.

Jerome Hart, Marco Schmidt, and Dream Morrow also became anxious. What trouble could Yusuf Zuck have gotten into? What happened to him?

Before long, Miles O’Brien hurried into the living room, his face tired and cold. It was nearly December, making the nights in the capital especially chilly, prompting Miles to wrap herself in a scarf.

"Sis, what’s happened?" As Miles entered, everyone crowded around her, and with red-rimmed eyes, she said, "Just look for yourselves." With that, she pulled out her phone and looked up the news related to Yusuf Zuck.

Samuel Ross took the phone, and the four of them read through the article from start to finish.

"Damn it, the damn Americans, putting out a warrant for my brother!" Dream Morrow couldn’t help but curse and jump up in anger after reading the news.

Marco, Samuel, and Jerome Hart exchanged glances. Yusuf had become a terrorist, and his photo was even spread on the internet. He allegedly set fire to four major Las Vegas hotels, killing over three hundred people!

Over three hundred people, four five-star hotels...

They felt tingles on their scalps. Surely Yusuf couldn’t be that fierce, could he?

"Where’s Yusuf now? Where is he?" Felix Zuck suddenly asked.

"I can’t get through to his phone!" Miles cried, beginning to panic: "Could he have already been captured? What do we do!"

"Don’t panic, don’t panic, call Fleur Carson. He left with her," Samuel paced the room, feeling helpless. Yusuf was in America, thousands of miles away. They couldn’t do much to help.

"I did. Fleur said she’s in Vancouver and didn’t go with Yusuf to Las Vegas. And, she mentioned that if anyone asks about Yusuf, we should say he went on a trip to Sichuan and never disclose that he has been abroad!"

"Damn, that son of a bitch let my brother go alone?" Dream cursed, while Marco also expressed his frustration. At this point, Jerome calmed down and advised, "Everyone, don’t panic. The news says he’s being pursued, right? That means they haven’t caught him yet. Let’s wait for more information before we do anything."

"Right, let’s wait for more information," agreed Felix. Yusuf was such a worry, how did he end up in America accused of terrorism, with over three hundred lives on the line? Was he really the killer?

Meanwhile, Ruth Wilcox in Los Angeles also saw the news and immediately tried to call Yusuf.

But she couldn’t get through to Yusuf’s phone.

She tried calling Mia, who claimed she had been trying to reach Yusuf nonstop. The news was truly frightening. Was the Chinese-Canadian Yusuf Zuck the same Yusuf they knew?

Mia could only reassure Ruth over the phone, insisting it wasn’t Yusuf and lying that after he saved her, he had gone straight back to his country.

In her heart, however, Mia was certain this was definitely Yusuf’s doing.

Ruth told Mia to inform her immediately if there was any news about Yusuf. Mia nodded and promised to do so.

That night, many people would be unable to sleep, including officials from the ’relevant departments’ in China. The United States had sent a formal request through the International Criminal Police Organization for assistance in investigating everything about Yusuf Zuck. Furthermore, what the news media hadn’t reported was that the U.S. had discovered that the Canadian passport belonging to Yusuf Zuck was fake, and so his real identity needed to be verified.

Luckily, with the photograph sent over, the relevant Chinese departments used a big data system to conduct photo comparisons and identity verification, quickly unearthing the true identity of Yusuf Zuck.

Yusuf Zuck, a twenty-one-year-old from Shandong, had a photograph that was an exact match to the terrorist’s, with the only difference being the age—the terrorist was listed as twenty-five years old, while the Shandong native was only twenty-one!

The relevant departments worked overnight, with higher-ups demanding careful verification.

Soon, it was unearthed that Yusuf had applied for a passport just a few days prior, which raised suspicions since one needs a passport to go overseas.

"Check his entry and exit information. See if he ever applied for a visa to go to America or if there’s any detailed record of him leaving the country," they said.

The relevant departments were undoubtedly powerful, and within just one night, they gained a comprehensive understanding of Yusuf’s details.

However... they also encountered a baffling puzzle: although Yusuf had applied for a passport, there was absolutely no record or information of him leaving the country with the immigration management.

That is to say, this Yusuf Zuck, who looked exactly like the man on the wanted poster, had never left the country!

At last, the leaders of the relevant departments decreed, "Bring him back for questioning. If there’s nothing to it, just reply to the Americans that there’s no such person."
