I've Become the King of Villains in the Game Chapter 50

Gary from the Iron Fist Gang had brought Chen Lun what he desired.

Two sets of identity documents and the corresponding tokens.

The identity document was a newly inked card, encased in a thin leather wallet.

Chen Lun opened it to see that on his identity card, the name column read Jack Spett. His status, as he had requested, was an out-of-town scholar from Peacock City in Bronze City, Rock State.

The other document, a diploma, noted his studies at Oakwood Academy, with a focus on literature, history, and nature.

These proofs bore the seal of the Amber City Inner City District Security Office and the signatures of the reviewing officials.

Chen Lun praised satisfactorily.

After breakfast, Chen Lun casually handed Floey her identity documents along with a copper badge.

Floey asked curiously.

"Necessities for us to move around in the Inner City District,"

Chen Lun explained with a smile.

"Keep them safe and if we're inspected, just show them... Remember, you're no longer a nun from the Red Apple Church, but a lady from a declining noble family from out of town, Floy Wolf."

Upon hearing this, Floey instantly realized that the items in her hand were fabricated identities.

"Are we preparing to leave this place? To the Inner City District...?"

She nodded and asked softly.

Her fingers gently traced the pattern on the copper badge, and the name of a family surfaced in her mind—

This noble family from out of town's ancestors didn't matter anymore; likely there were no descendants left.

With this name, Floey could live securely in the Inner City District.

"Yes, we should be leaving in the next couple of days,"

Chen Lun answered softly.

Floey suddenly felt a hint of reluctance.

Although she had only lived at number seven on Denton Street for about a week, she had grown somewhat fond of the place.

"Don't worry, we'll have the chance to come back and visit Mrs. Caroline,"

Chen Lun said as he ruffled the back neck fur of the border collie, which looked confusedly at him.

"And you don't need to worry about Mrs. Caroline being lonely by herself, I plan to leave this guy here."

The dog spun around in place, visibly reluctant.

Chen Lun simply ignored it.

He did not know the situation in the Inner City District yet, and taking Floey with him was already a stretch on his resources.

If Connie ultimately agreed to go with them, they would need to be even more cautious.

It was better to leave the dog here to keep Mrs. Caroline company, at least providing it with a shelter, so it didn't have to roam any longer.

Just then, someone knocked on the front door.

Chen Lun went to open it, and Connie stood outside with a smile on her face.

"Mr. Jack, I've finished modifying the firearm!"

Chen Lun raised an eyebrow, surprised at her efficiency.

Seeing the undeniable fatigue on her face and the bandages on her fingertips, Chen Lun guessed that she must have been fully engrossed in her research these past couple of days.

Perhaps it was also a way for her to forget her pain.

Connie took a seat on the sofa and placed the modified blunderbuss on the table.

"With my design, its stability has greatly increased, and it's unlikely to misfire anymore."

Chen Lun picked up the blunderbuss to inspect it.

[Raging Fire - Custom-made Firearm (Improved Version)]

Item description: A carefully modified flintlock gun with clever design enhancements to improve stability without any reduction in firepower.

The expanded muzzle allows for formidable lethality at close range with no restrictions on the type of ammunition used.

A small steel ball can be shot with such force that it makes you cry in pain!

"An excellent modification, I didn't misjudge you, Connie,"

Chen Lun put down the blunderbuss and smiled as he complimented her.

Connie blushed and hesitantly picked up the mechanical glove again. Looking at it, her tone carried a hint of discouragement:

"I designed several plans for this mechanical glove, but none of them worked...

I tried adding some functions to it, but that didn't seem right either. Instead, it became impractical."

Chen Lun knew that the glove was actually a failed imitation, crafted by the craftsmen of the Iron Fist Gang by copying the design of another.

Lacking the true soul.

He looked at Connie, not wanting to dampen her enthusiasm, so he took out the [Mad Hand Prototype Drawing – Palm Fireworks].

Connie was extremely surprised when she saw the exquisite painting.

"This painting... so this is what it's like!"

She seemed very excited, pointing at the mechanical glove in the painting.

"This weapon is forged in imitation of the glove in the painting, but the forger got it wrong, it shouldn't be like that!

Its structure may be complex, but its function should be simple, related to fire...

I feel flame, light, and change from it!"

Connie stared at the painting, completely absorbed.

As if the patterns on it were revealing answers to her, speaking of secrets that were felt rather than said.

Chen Lun did not disturb her, quietly sipping his tea.

Suddenly, Connie felt the painting in her hands wasn't just a sheet of paper, but a piece of red-hot iron.

Her palm grew warm and the painting subsequently landed on the table.

She felt a bit dizzy and nauseous, and began to feel an overall sense of heat.

"Don't look at it anymore, have a cup of tea and rest."

Chen Lun said softly.

He knew that Connie's discomfort was due to staring for a long time at an item that possessed extraordinary powers, causing her Sanity Value to decrease and her body to react adversely.

Connie reluctantly nodded, choosing to heed Mr. Jack's advice and shifting her gaze away from the painting.

"Mr. Jack, if I could observe that painting frequently, I'm confident I could forge the mechanical glove depicted on it!"

Connie took a sip of the tea, saying firmly.

"It will be completely different from this kind of mechanical glove."

Connie gestured towards the Mad Hand on the table.

Chen Lun nodded, seeing that Connie truly understood the drawing. He also grew more eager to recruit this talented individual.

"Don't look at the painting for too long, it could harm you,"

Connie had already sensed that the painting had a kind of magic power that mysteriously conveyed extensive knowledge about mechanical forging.

But at the same time, it contained a threat, giving her a constant sense of danger, as if her hair were standing on end.

"Connie, what are your plans for the future?"

After resting a while, Chen Lun casually asked.

Connie looked at the teacup in her hands and was silent for a moment.

"I plan to repay your money and then move to the technical academy to study knowledge in peace."

"Are you interested in coming with me to the Inner City District?"

Chen Lun inquired tentatively.

Connie looked up in surprise.

"I have high hopes for your talent, Connie.

Just so you know, I might need an excellent assistant like you in the future to complete my plans.

If you are willing to go with us to the Inner City District, I can sponsor your studies at a better academy, and you won't have to worry about the expenses for research either."

Chen Lun offered Connie the invitation earnestly.

Connie's eyes widened.

After musing for a moment, she fidgeted with her small hands.

"Thank you for your esteem, Mr. Jack.

But I know my skills are still far from adequate. May I have some time to consider your offer?"

Connie was tempted, but she did not immediately give a reply.

Chen Lun nodded in understanding.

"Hmm, Floey and I may be leaving in a couple of days. Take your time to think about it."
