At that moment, Lu Dongbin wished he could just smash his head against the Heaven and Earth Barrier and die. That way, he wouldn’t have to face those people.
He sat cross-legged in the void, motionless.
It wasn’t that he didn’t want to return, but that he dared not.
Lu Dongbin’s face was fraught with worry. How could he face everyone’s questioning when he returned?
He had come with the Great Saint, and the Great Saint had died, but he was unscathed.
How could everyone accept that?
Thinking this, Lu Dongbin gritted his teeth, planning to just smash his head against the Heaven and Earth Barrier and end it.
He sprang to his feet and hurled himself at the Heaven and Earth Barrier.
Just as his head was about to hit the barrier, a dim light spilled out from it, struggling to emerge.
And Lu Dongbin’s head hit right on that dim light.
The dim light had almost come out, but it was knocked back in by Lu Dongbin’s head.
Lu Dongbin was unscathed, his eyes wide open.
That thing just now seemed to be Primordial Demonic Qi.
The Great Saint might not have died, protected by the Primordial Demonic Qi.
And then, he had knocked the Primordial Demonic Qi back in.
Lu Dongbin was in tears.
He had become the murderer who killed the Great Saint.
Now, he couldn’t even forgive himself.
Lu Dongbin stared eagerly at the Heaven and Earth Barrier, hoping the Primordial Demonic Qi would come out again.
But, after a long time, there was no movement on the Heaven and Earth Barrier.
"Damn it, damn Heaven and Earth Barrier."
Finally unable to hold back, Lu Dongbin roared, unleashing thousands of Pure Yang Sword Qi.
Right then, a dim light barely showed, and Lu Dongbin saw it clearly before his sword qi knocked it back.
He really didn’t do it on purpose, but he didn’t know if he explained it to the Great Saint whether the Great Saint would believe him.
Anyway, if he were in the Great Saint’s shoes, he definitely wouldn’t believe it.

Thinking that he had driven the Primordial Demonic Qi back twice, Lu Dongbin really wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Soon, the Primordial Demonic Qi fully emerged.
Then, radiance flowed, and Sun Wukong was reshaped.

If it weren’t for the Primordial Demonic Qi, Sun Wukong would have been dead.

Lu Dongbin was astonished. The Great Saint had been injured, but not only did his strength not suffer, it seemed to have increased significantly.
Truly worthy of being the Great Sage Equalling Heaven.
An hour later, Sun Wukong opened his eyes
He exclaimed, "Without breaking, there can be no establishment; it must be broken before it can be reestablished. I never thought that a brush with death would bring so many benefits to Old Sun and now my strength has grown by leaps and bounds."
Hearing Sun Wukong’s words, Lu Dongbin exclaimed joyfully, "Then congratulations to Great Saint for the great improvement in strength."
Sun Wukong gave him a look, his mouth twitching slightly, then he beckoned Lu Dongbin over and said, "Come here, I have something to tell you."
Lu Dongbin cringed, forcing a laugh, and said, "Great Saint, I was wrong earlier; I really didn’t expect it. I was just trying to save you."
