Knights and Magic Wand Chapter 221

221: Chapter 118 Cause and Effect 221: Chapter 118 Cause and Effect “Lora, are you there?” Leon walked into the round hall, not seeing Miss Mage and her Netti Card, and continued his search up the stairs.

On the second floor, he found neither person nor card, so he kept calling out loudly while continuing to search.

Upon reaching the third floor, he noticed that the door to Lady Aphrodite’s room was ajar.

Leon knocked and peeked inside.

The spacious bedroom was still without a trace of Miss Mage.

The neatly arranged exquisite furniture and cabinets remained just as they were the last time they were used, quietly waiting for their master to return.

Unfortunately, the Mage Lord, long gone, would never be able to return to this bedroom again.

Before averting his gaze, Leon was inadvertently drawn to the paintings on the wall.

Surrounding the canopy bed, the room was filled with saintly portraits of people.

All the portraits depicted a remarkably poised and beautiful lady with black hair.

Judging by the luxurious gown, she must also be a Lorelette Mage, wearing a black based dress with lavish gold decorations.

Black and gold, an “Official Position” level?

Leon gazed at the portrait of the black-haired beauty, feeling a sense of familiarity, and after careful recollection of where he had seen this face before, it quickly came to him.

Isn’t this the woman depicted in the statue of the black-haired lady in the upstairs workshop cabinet?

But this puzzled Leon.

Being second only to the white-robed “Pope” in station, the purple-robed “Magic Guide.”

Why would Aphrodite hang so many portraits of an Official Position Mage who was of lower rank than herself in front of her bedroom bed?

Was the black-haired lady one of Aphrodite’s students, or perhaps a close friend?

She must be a very important person; otherwise, no one would specifically hang a portrait of a friend or student where they sleep.

Not to mention making so many statue dolls in her likeness.

Lady Aphrodite, who was once so elegant and mysterious, now seemed like someone’s private, obsessive…

Leon shook his head, discarding the somewhat offensive thoughts from his mind.

Regardless, it’s anyone’s prerogative to hang whatever they want in their own room.

Not wanting to intrude further on Aphrodite’s privacy, Leon closed the room door with a hint of apology.

It was only in the high-floor Mage Workshop that Leon finally saw Lora’s Heroic Spirit Card lying silently on the desk.

Picking up the golden Netti Card, he waited a minute but saw no sign of her appearing, so he had to put it back.

It seems he had the misfortune of catching Miss Mage during her rest time.

Fortunately, Leon was in no hurry and decided to try and wait a bit longer; after all, there was nothing pressing outside, and he had left Kovis to take care of the temporary residence.

With the excuse of walking around, staying in the tower for a while longer was no problem.

Approaching the desk, he flipped through the Magic manuscripts, all in Lorelette Language, making them indecipherable to him.

Unlike the Felu Language Magic Guidebook that Miss Lora had translated and written for him, the original Magic Guidebooks in Lorelette Language found in the tower were unlikely understandable by anyone in the Western Continent these days.

Out of boredom, he suddenly recalled the paintings on the third floor, turned, and approached the cabinet displaying various Magical Artifacts, finding the statues of the black-haired lady.

Taking one of the standing figures, Leon examined it carefully.

Indeed, the statue’s appearance matched the portrait in Aphrodite’s room exactly.

He carefully looked at the exquisite doll from all angles, collector’s fondness taking over, feeling more fond of it the more he observed.

This statue had far surpassed the intricacy of playthings from his previous life, reaching the level of a work of art.

His habit of appreciating models from his former life gradually resurfaced as Leon stared at the flowing skirt of the beautiful black-haired figure.

Curiosity got the best of him, and he couldn’t resist tilting it slightly to bravely peek under the skirt of the doll.

Wondering whether the underwear was done in detail.

…He intended to critique the craftsmanship of the statue rigorously,

But upon seeing the details clearly…his pupils shook violently, and a shocked exclamation burst forth in his mind.

Flushing, he averted his gaze and awkwardly returned the statue to the cabinet.

The realism of this statue…

far exceeded his imagination.

He hadn’t expected it to reach the level of “indecency.”

Lady Aphrodite, was there really a need to be so meticulous?

And this poor black-haired lady, is she truly your friend?

Of course, Leon then thought, perhaps it was normal.

Aren’t the statues of ancient Greece also naked displays of human beauty?

It was his own vulgar thinking that was too lewd.

Suddenly feeling a movement behind him, Leon quickly turned around.

The Netti Card shone with the light of Magic, once again condensing into the form of a white-haired girl.

After more than a month, seeing the familiar figure once more, Leon felt relieved and greeted her in advance, “Yo, good afternoon.”

The ethereal Spiritual Body gracefully descended from midair.

Lora, materializing in this world, opened her golden eyes: “You’ve finally come, a bit sooner than I expected.”

Miss Mage responded, eyeing him meaningfully, noting the significant differences in hair and eye color from before.

“…Seeing such a big change in your Magic Power’s manifestation, you should be able to drive the Magic Element in your body now, right?”

I haven’t dared slack off at all lately,” said Leon, recalling his earlier behavior, and with a touch of guilt, asked tentatively, “By the way, Lora, can you see what happens outside when you are resting in the card?”
