Aqualina's voice echoed sharply in Aether's mind, her frustration clear, though it made him chuckle.
Shaking his head, he shifted his focus and contacted Celestia who told the real truth.
Aether smiled faintly, 'I see...' He knew Aqualina wasn't entirely truthful—she always had a bit too much pride to fully admit defeat.
/Make sure both of you stay safe... Celestia,/ Aether warned as he spoke to her through telepathy.

Aether let out a long, relieved sigh as he leaned against the entrance of the mansion. His shoulders relaxed slightly.... He had almost lost his mind when that Prophetess had told him to choose.
'I really wonder what that old lady was talking about...' He sighed again, the tension leaving his body. She had almost given him another panic attack, but now, at least, he could relax. He knew, however, that the woman was a Prophetess, and anything she said could very well come true.
He needed to figure out how to interpret her cryptic words.
But for now, 'Hey, Log, tell me how she was able to create a temporary checkpoint... Wasn't completed seduction considered a checkpoint? And... did she somehow know I could time travel?' His expression darkened as he furrowed his brows.
No one knew about his ability to return through time, and yet she knew?
'Maybe because she's a Prophetess?' Aether mused though he couldn't shake the nagging question of how she had managed to create a temporary checkpoint.

Without a second thought, Aether teleported directly into her darkened room. The lights were off, casting a shadowy haze, and he was immediately struck by the scene in front of him...

"What are you doin--" Aether started, but before he could confront her further, another knife appeared in her other hand. This one sliced through the air, narrowly missing his body, but only his shirt was cut.

He appeared behind her once again, catching her neck in a firm grip, and locking her in place. "What the hell are you doing, Sele--" Aether's words halted as he suddenly caught a strange, unfamiliar yet familiar scent coming from....
'This isn't Selene?' Aether thought, his mind spinning with possibilities.
Then, a voice, smooth and dangerous, echoed
"You have some nerve coming into my house and trying to kill me."
Aether froze, his grip loosening slightly as he processed the sound... he felt familiar too that... That was enough of a momentary distraction for the person now in his grasp to act swiftly. With a twist of her body, she flipped his arm, catching him in a vice-like hold.
Aether's back was pressed tightly against her front, her knife now poised at his neck and,
"Who sent yo— Aether?" The person's eyes widened as a moonless night revealed the figure at the critical moment, and light poured through the window, illuminating Aether's face.
Aether glanced over his shoulder and saw... "Xara?"
Both of them stared at each other, completely shocked.
Meanwhile, outside the room...
"Hehe... Hehehe..." Selene crouched outside her room, giggling to herself as if she had just accomplished something monumental.
Snowflake peeked out from between her cleavage, her little head tilted in curiosity as she stared at Selene. "You do know what you did, right?" she asked, her expression a mix of amusement and disbelief.
Selene sighed and nodded. "I know exactly what I did... Now, all that's left is for Aether to seduce my—"
"SELEEENNNNEEEEEEE!!"
Snowflake blinked, a mischievous grin tugging at her lips, "Looks like you got into a problem~" she murmured before travelling back into Selene's cleavage.

Jack raised an eyebrow before a grin spread across his face. "Good," he said, his voice dripping with satisfaction. He followed his puppet at a distance, but as they moved further, a sense of danger began to settle in his gut.... His instincts screamed at him to run.
