“Just as generous as the rumors say, kon!”
The two employees cheered excitedly as they clutched the pouch filled with gold coins.
It wasn’t exactly the kind of job a transport company should be handling, but according to Miaha, the employees were willing to do anything as long as they got paid.
Looks like I can count on them for small errands in the future… Allen mused, lowering his voice slightly.
“By the way… there’s something I want to ask.”
“Woof?”
“Kon?”
The two employees tilted their heads in curiosity as Allen whispered his question.
“…What exactly did she buy?”
Allen thought it was good that Charlotte was keeping some secrets from him.
But still, he couldn’t deny that he was curious.
“If it’s something personal, you don’t have to tell me! I know women need all sorts of things.”
“It’s not really that private, though…”
"Hmm..."
For some reason, the two employees looked at each other. They seemed slightly troubled, but not in a bad way. If anything, their expressions were warm and amused—like they were watching playful kittens.
Allen, not understanding why, could only tilt his head in confusion.
Eventually, they nodded to each other and responded bluntly.
"It's probably bad manners for us to say it, woof."
“…What do you mean?”

Their knowing chuckles only made him more curious.
But before he could press them for answers—
