Although there were a few things to say about the travel plans… overall, Allen was quite satisfied.
“Well then, shall we head back?”
"The carriage is ready. Please come this way."

“What’s wrong?”
Charlotte suddenly turned her head in the opposite direction.
Allen instinctively looked the same way――
"Whoa!"
At that moment, a large shadow landed on the ground.
With a heavy thud, the mother Fenrir landed.
One after another, the other cubs arrived as well, and the area in front of the hotel quickly became chaotic.
“Kyaaaaah! It’s Fenrirs! And so many of them! I’ve never seen them this close… in all my 200 years!”
The mermaids started to frolic in excitement, but the other guests had various reactions, from running away in shock to cheering.
Allen looked up at the mother Fenrir and tilted his head.
“Did you… maybe come to say goodbye?”
"Grrr."
She let out a soft cry in a good mood.
From beneath her feet, a small figure peeked out... the child with the silver fur. The blood stains had been cleaned off, and his steps were light.
Apparently, they had gone to pick it up from the zoo.
Charlotte’s eyes sparkled the moment she saw it.
“Wow! It’s the Fenrir from yesterday!”
“Wafu!”
“You’re all better now, huh? That’s great!”
The cub narrowed its eyes in delight as Charlotte petted it.
The peaceful scene even warmed Allen’s heart… but then the Fenrir pup started barking energetically, prompting Charlotte’s eyes to go wide.
"Huh... What!? Really...!?"
"What's wrong?"
Charlotte patted Fenrir's head and timidly told him.
“I-I think this little one… wants to come with us.”
"What!?"
Allen was surprised, but it seemed that was the right answer. His mother and other siblings were calm. It was as if they had come out to see off their family...
“Hey now, are you sure? Isn’t this your precious cub?”
“Garuruu.”
Allen could vaguely understand the mother’s growl.
She was probably trying to say that a cute child should travel.
Charlotte frowned anxiously.
"But... aren't you lonely being away from your family?"
“Oh, I don’t think there’s any need to worry.”
The mermaid concierge answered smoothly.
“Your home is in the Grole region, right? A Fenrir can make it back here in about an hour. It’s basically like a little boarding house.”
“Ah, I see.”
If that’s the case, Allen felt reassured.
He bent down slightly and looked into the eyes of the silver Fenrir. Unlike the hostility he felt yesterday, today they were filled with calm, gentle light.
“Alright then, you can come to my home. Be good to Charlotte, okay?”
“Woof!”
"I-Is that okay? You'll have to take care of not only me, but this child too..."
“It’s no problem.”
The estate was large and far from the city.
Even with a slightly larger family, they wouldn’t be bothering anyone. There was plenty of nature for walks, and Allen had experience caring for magical beasts. In short, there was no issue.
After explaining, Allen gave a sly grin.
“Besides, having more family is a good thing, right?”
"Family... me too?"
"What are you talking about? Of course."
Charlotte blinked in surprise as Allen tilted his head.
He had fumbled when people called them a couple or husband and wife… but this, he could say with confidence.
"You're my precious family."
"......"
“Hm? Why the sudden silence? Did I say something weird?”
“N-No… it’s nothing…”
“Garuu…”
Charlotte goes bright red and falls silent, and for some reason Fenrir's mother turns half-eyed at her. The child just tilts her head, just like Allen.
Sensing something, the mermaid concierge spoke up with a dazzling customer-service smile.
“Well then… when it comes time for your real honeymoon, please be sure to use our hotel again♪”
