Upon hearing her, Shen Beibei laughed, "If your brother were He Xingzhou, how about introducing me to him as a girlfriend?"
"Hehe, count me in too!" Cao Ya joked along with Yao Liwen.
Several classmates also said, "He Xingzhou is our idol too, though we hardly have the chance to meet him. We really want to take a photo with him; even a signature would be great!"
"Alright, for the sake of being classmates, I’ll agree on his behalf," He Mengyao said generously, "He’s arriving soon."
Seeing her this way, everyone became suspicious, as He Mengyao wasn’t the type to lie, yet today she sounded so earnest.
He Mengyao sent a voice message, asking, "Brother, where are you? My classmates all want to take a photo with you."
"I’m on the way, arriving in three minutes," He Xingzhou replied, his voice mixed with a wind sound, rendering it unclear to everyone.
"Three minutes? It takes more than three minutes to walk from Jiang University’s gate to here."
"Also, today being graduation day, the area around the school is especially jammed; it doesn’t take less than half an hour to get here."
"We might as well take photos first!" Yao Liwen suggested.
"Sure, sure, let’s take a few more photos. There won’t be another chance after this," Shen Beibei invited everyone to join in for a photo.
They made various funny faces and poses and took group photos together.
"Mister, help us take another photo!" A classmate called out to the cameraman. They were all ready with their poses, but the cameraman stood still, eyes fixed on the sky instead of the camera.
"Mister?" Shen Beibei and the others were puzzled, but then they heard the swooshing sound overhead, resembling an aircraft passing by.
"What’s going on?" Everyone raised their heads, following his gaze, and saw a dark shadow quickly approaching.
It wasn’t long before they saw its figure!
It was a silvery, lightweight mecha, much smaller than the Red Flame, Thunder Shark, or Red Dragon seen in the news, only slightly taller than a person.
Its lines and design looked even more technological, seeming perfectly designed to fit the human body.
"This mecha is freaking cool!"
"How does this compare to the Red Flame?" someone asked.
"Certainly more advanced! Don’t you know the smaller the size, the more complex the technology? Like shrinking the nuclear reactor of a power plant onto an aircraft carrier, imagine the effort involved!"
"Whose is this? I recall the campus is a Level 1 restricted airspace, usually, mechas can’t fly directly into the school."
They looked upward, watching the silver mecha slowly land.
They were about to approach and inquire when the silver mecha walked straight to He Mengyao, a familiar voice sounding, "Mengyao, I said three minutes, didn’t take a second more!"
"Brother!" He Mengyao laughed, "Why fly over here in a mecha; don’t scare everyone."
"Couldn’t help it," He Xingzhou said helplessly, "It was too far; I was just in Beijing."
"Beijing? You flew straight from Beijing?" He Mengyao exclaimed, "Is it really that fast?"
He Xingzhou boasted, "The latest Meteor Armor, fully nanometer technology, not as big as the Red Flame, but no less capable! Plus, more agile, capable of supersonic flight! From Beijing to Jiang City, this beats a plane!"
They were chatting while the graduates nearby, upon hearing this voice, showed incredulous expressions.
"This voice, so familiar!" A male classmate slowed his speech, looking at his peers and realizing they all had the same expression.
"Could it be, he is..."
"Mengyao, is this your brother? Could he really be Dr. He?" Shen Beibei hurried to ask.
He Mengyao smiled, "Of course."
She turned to He Xingzhou, "Brother, I’m graduating today, everyone wants to meet you, take some memorial photos."
"Certainly!" He Xingzhou opened his mask, revealing his face to everyone.
At that moment, screams filled the air!
The girls screamed, "It’s He Xingzhou, Dr. He is at our school!"
"It’s really Dr. He! Damn, my idol!" The boys shouted too, some cursing out of uncontrollable excitement.
"Dr. He is really your brother, oh my gosh! What have I missed?" Cao Ya covered her face, shouting.
"I am so dumb!" Yao Liwen regretted, "Dr. He’s sister was our roommate! How did I just realize it now!"
"We have a big-shot in our major!"
"I used to tell you, He Mengyao couldn’t be lying, none believed me, now you see!"
"Dr. He, what kind of mecha is this?"
"Dr. He, I’m your fan! Can we take a photo together?"
"Dr. He!!!" Students had already surrounded He Xingzhou.
"Everyone, no need to rush, let’s take a group photo," He Xingzhou took photos and recorded videos with them.
Realizing they were in the same frame with He Xingzhou, they became even more excited, wishing to announce it to the world immediately.
The gathering crowd grew, and seeing this, He Xingzhou quickly said, "Classmates, classmates."
