Legendary FBI Detective Chapter 331

Special Investigation Team, Office Area.

Seeing Mona, Reesi, and Michelle all turning their gazes towards him, Luo An stopped the question he was pondering in his mind, nodded, and said:

"We can give it a try."

Michelle was a bit worried:

"Wouldn't this arouse their suspicion? Disturb them?"

Mona picked up a data cable and plugged it into Alan's phone, then sat back in her chair, calmly stating:

"As long as the reason is sufficient, it is highly unlikely that they will notice anything abnormal."

"What reason could we use?"

Murder-for-hire schemes are usually one-off cooperations; it's rare to have ongoing partnerships.

Reesi thought for a moment, clapped her hands together, and said with a smile:

"We can say we want to kill another person and want to work with them once more."

Michelle did not deny this method, but there was an issue that couldn't be resolved:

"Whom shall we ask them to kill?"

According to Alan, the assassin first asked for basic information on the target, then decided whether to take the job.

If Reesi wanted to deceive them, she would have to provide basic information about the target before they agreed to cooperate.

Sitting in the chair, Mona smiled easily:

"I can create someone who looks real from the FBI database.

However, there's a prerequisite: this person must genuinely exist in this world. I'm just creating a fake identity for him, and he must cooperate with us."

Reesi and Michelle frowned upon hearing this, wondering where to find such a person.

Luo An, who had been quietly thinking and hadn't spoken much, suddenly said:

"Let the assassin come to kill me."

All three, Mona, Reesi, and Michelle, looked at Luo An with surprised faces as Luo An cracked a smile:

"I've thought of a reason too. It's not Alan herself this time, but one of Alan's married female friends.

This female friend wants to kill her husband to claim a large amount of insurance money."

Mona, Reesi, and Michelle exchanged glances, finding Luo An's provided scenario and background well justified, so they went ahead with this plan and got busy.

Reesi, experienced in disguise, picked up Alan's phone and began to contact the assassin using Alan's previous speech patterns, sending him texts.

Under Mona's guidance, Michelle quickly created a fictitious identity of a young and wealthy accountant for Luo An in the FBI database.

In the profile picture, Michelle even reduced Luo An's attractiveness significantly, making it hard for acquaintances to recognize that the person in the photo was Luo An.

Meanwhile, Mona was quickly typing on the keyboard while Reesi sent messages, trying to pinpoint the other party's location to determine their true identity and residence.

The assassin on the other end of the phone replied to Reesi not long after, with a simple phrase:

"Your friend's contact details."

Seeing this, Reesi immediately sent her own contact details to the other party.

Soon, Reesi received a text message on her phone. Luo An didn't rush Reesi to reply but instead looked towards Mona.

Mona shook her head, didn't say a word, merely mouthing:

"Give me a little more time."

Luo An nodded. Seeing this, Reesi paused for a few seconds and then began discussing with the other party in the tone of a heartless woman.

After receiving the identity information of Luo An disguised by Michelle, the other side sent the price after a moment:

eight hundred thousand dollars.

Reesi's mouth twitched upon seeing the price, and Luo An's eyelids also fluttered.

However, what Reesi didn't expect was that the other party never asked the reason for wanting to kill Luo An.

After confirming that Reesi had no objection to the price, the other party directly specified a location and requested Reesi to put the money in a trash bin in that area two days later in the afternoon.

Then no matter how much Reesi inquired, the other party stopped responding to her questions.

Reesi muttered quietly, while Luo An remained expressionless and calmly looked towards Mona:

"How about it, did you find the other party?"

Mona looked slightly distraught:

"The time is too short, they used a disposable phone, I only managed to find a rough location in the south of Los Angeles."

Luo An patted Mona on the shoulder to comfort her briefly, then smiled at Reesi:

"It's our showtime next."

Reesi smiled faintly and made an "OK" gesture with her hand.

To prevent the assassin from investigating Luo An's whereabouts tonight and discovering anything unusual, less than two hours after contacting the assassin, Mona and Michelle, using the previously forged information, quickly arranged a house, company, and car, among other items for Luo An.

The only difficult part was that Luo An's face and the one in the records differed a bit... significantly.

However, this was not a problem for Luo An. He went to a supermarket, bought some items, and then under the astonished eyes of Mona and Michelle, transformed himself into the man from the photographs in the villa.

Mona stepped forward and touched Luo An's face, incredulously saying:

"Can you actually do makeup?"

"There was a course for this in the FBI Academy, I did quite well."

Luo An provided the well-prepared explanation, then turned around, pinched Mona's face and smiled:

"Reesi will play my wife for the next two days, you're not jealous, are you?"

Mona gave Luo An a look upon hearing this, it was all work-related and she really didn't mind.

Not long after, the equally made-up Reesi also came out of her room, her makeup and demeanor gentle, but her eyes held much proud ambition.

Luo An, Mona, and Michelle all applauded Reesi:

"As expected of a senior agent from the intelligence department!"

Reesi covered her mouth with a laugh, and bent down to give them a ladylike curtsy.

With everything ready, Reesi started living as a housewife at home, Mona and Michelle monitored the surroundings of the villa from the basement, while Luo An started living the routine of a working class.

During this period, Luo An used every bit of his assassin skills to repeatedly check if there were any followers around him, but found no one.

Luo An thought that either the opponent's skills were far superior to his, or the opponent did not follow or investigate him at all.

Two days later in the afternoon, Reesi, carrying eight hundred thousand dollars for the operation, left the house to go to the location requested by the assassin.

Mona and Michelle followed from afar in a car, ready to see who would take the money and then follow them.

Luo An disguised himself as someone else, quietly left the company.

He did not follow Reesi nor planned to see who would take the money. It was clear without thinking, that the likelihood of the person taking the eight hundred thousand dollars was not the assassin himself.

Thus, Luo An started utilizing his assassin skills to quietly investigate around the trash bin requested by the assassin, especially spots that were suitable for hiding himself and for observing the surroundings.

As planned, after Reesi dropped the eight hundred thousand dollars hidden in a fast-food bag into the street corner trash bin, she left immediately.

Mona and Michelle stepped out of their car, disguised as passersby, and kept a distant watch over the trash bin.

Before long, a raggedly dressed homeless man walked up to the bin from afar, looked around, then grabbed the fast-food bag and walked away.

Seeing this, Mona and Michelle exchanged glances and quietly followed him.

Just a few steps in, a call from Luo An echoed in their earpieces:

"Immediately arrest the homeless man and retrieve the money, I've already caught the assassins!"

Upon hearing this, Michelle didn't hesitate and immediately ran up, while Mona, following quickly, asked doubtfully:
