Legendary FBI Detective Chapter 602

Winslow and Michelle looked shocked, Chenier and Mona were very surprised, and Reesi hurriedly asked:

"Poisoned by someone."

Luo An pocketed his phone, explaining:

"The striped-suited men, all 12 of them, I killed 6 and arrested 6.

Then the Special Service Bureau got involved, taking away those 6 people, but their real target was Francisco, so they didn't pay much attention to those men.

When the 6 were sent to the hospital for treatment, someone added rapidly lethal drugs to their medicine bottles, and they died in the hospital."

"Damn Special Service Bureau."

Winslow and Reesi cursed immediately, feeling annoyed and useless with the Special Service Bureau in this case.

Chenier and Mona exchanged glances, both noticing something else:

"Do we have to investigate the killer who killed the striped-suited men next?"

Winslow and Reesi also came to the realization and then felt weary:

Because of a serial murder case, they discovered the existence of "the organization."

Subsequent arrests were interfered with by the Special Service Bureau, truck drivers, striped-suited men, and others.

Now, with the striped-suited men dead as well...

"No, we don't need to worry about this."

Luo An shook his head, indicating that Francisco had been taken by FBI Director Robert's people, the striped-suited men certainly had backers, and now that they were dead, the incident was also included in the investigation and handling by the Director's people.

Taking a sip of coffee, Luo An continued indifferently:

"Our main job next is only one thing—to handle the follow-up work of "the organization," such as information on the serial killers, the organ trafficking murderers, etc.

The matters behind the upper echelons of "the organization" are temporarily none of our concern."

Luo An had no interest in the political games or benefit exchanges of the higher-ups, nor did he care about the specifics.

After all, his own gains afterward would not be missed, so now he just has to wait quietly.

Hearing Luo An's words, Winslow, Reesi, and Chenier all breathed a sigh of relief and nodded in agreement.

After sending the truck driver to the temporary detention prison at FBI Washington Headquarters, Michelle was left behind by Luo An in Investigation Team 13, mainly responsible for monitoring the truck driver to prevent a possible suicide by being shot in the back.

The rest packed up and drove to New York with Luo An once again.

When everyone arrived in New York, it was after 7 PM. They made a brief inspection of the temporary detention prison and found everything normal. After a busy day, all agents went to rest for the night and started work again the next day.

"The organization" established by Francisco was not very large, but its members had clear roles, each with their duties, and everyone had their job content.

The next day, at nine in the morning, Investigation Team 13's agents interrogated two people.

One was the leader responsible for removing organs from the dead "meat rabbits," nicknamed "Doctor Tony."

And the other was Zemina, the leader in charge of the human organ sales side.

Learning that Francisco, the founder of "the organization," had been arrested and was now being handled by FBI Headquarters, "Doctor Tony" and Zemina did not hesitate long before they spilled everything they knew.

In their narratives, the internal workings of "the organization" were well-ordered:

Francisco was responsible for recruiting members to join "the organization" for "entertainment activities," such as watching someone else kill or personally taking to the field to experience the "pleasure" of murder.

Considering the members were all "respectable people," their victims naturally could not be society's "riff-raff," like homeless people or death row inmates, as that would be "unseemly."

Thus, "the organization" would buy healthy, legitimate, disease-free, normal "meat rabbits" from the Underworld.

These people were rare, so "the organization" had many middlemen like Innis Heller, who scoured for "meat rabbits" to sell to "the organization."

After the "meat rabbits" died, their bodies were sent to the "processing room" where "Doctor Tony" would lead the removal of organs like hearts, kidneys, corneas, etc., then handed over to Zemina and others for trafficking.

The proceeds from trafficking were submitted to Francisco, who, along with the membership fees paid by members entering "the organization," would use it to distribute wages, bonuses, and maintain the organization's operations.

After the interrogation, the two were taken out of the interrogation room by Reesi and Winslow, and Chenier looked at the notes about the organ sales channels, major organ buyers, and other information, her expression quite ugly:

"We have uncovered a vast underworld criminal empire."

Luo An massaged his temples, pondered for a few seconds, and said:

"Send this information to Vireness later."

In the interrogation just now, Zemina, who was in charge of organ trafficking, indicated that the "organization" sold a lot of human organs every month, but for the organ buyers, the organs they sold were just a fraction of what they needed.

This means that in the Federation Underground World, there is a considerable market for human organ trading, as well as an organized crime network.

But matters of this sort were beyond the scope of what Team Thirteen could investigate, given their lack of time and manpower, so it was best to report the information to Vireness and let her decide the most appropriate way to handle it.

Chenier nodded, affixed a sticky note to her notebook, and not long after, Winslow and Reesi brought another person into the interrogation room.

The individual was a Caucasian male with light brown hair, a buzz cut, and a muscular build that made him look tough to mess with, yet he was wearing glasses on the bridge of his nose.

It was Toby Henderson, an "organization" insider responsible for managing, adjudicating "organization" members, and deciding who could join.

"Good morning, Mr. Henderson."

After questioning two people in a row, Luo An's mouth was dry, so he took a sip of his coffee and looked at the man, saying:

"Looks like you had a good night's sleep yesterday."

Toby Henderson smiled, his hands cuffed to the interrogation table, and he tilted his body and crossed his legs, asking:

"It seems that the doctor and that woman have already answered your questions."

The doctor and woman he referred to were Tony and Zemina.

Without answering his question, Luo An poured a cup of coffee for Chenier and another for Toby Henderson, then directly asked:

"Francisco has already been taken away by our headquarters' people, do you have anything you want to say?"

Toby Henderson countered with a question:

"What do you want to know?"

"The operation of the organization, a list of organization members who have killed people, their videos, recordings, and other information."

Toby Henderson nodded in agreement to all of this but did not immediately explain the specifics. Instead, he made his own demand:

"I want a certificate of innocence."

"You know that's impossible."

"No, I think there's a pretty good chance."

Toby Henderson crossed his arms, his mouth curling up as he looked at Luo An and said:

"I am indeed a manager of the 'organization,' but I've never killed anyone with my own hands."

Chenier frowned upon hearing this, but Luo An's expression remained unchanged, smiling as he asked:

"According to our investigations, the victims on the beach, they were killed by people you led."

Toby Henderson shook his head repeatedly, saying:

"You're mistaken, I didn't kill those people; they were killed by members wanting to join the 'organization.' I never fired a shot at them.

And to be honest, I do feel sorry for those victims, and I'm willing to apologize."

"But those victims, and the members wanting to join the organization—you took them there, and it was you who dug the pit."

Luo An sat on the interrogation table, looking down at Toby Henderson, and said:

"Under any law, you would be considered the murderer."

"At most, I'd be considered an accessory; the one with the gun wasn't me."

Toby Henderson remained composed, leaning back and looking up at Luo An, the corner of his mouth raised, as he said:

"Besides, I heard you guys are investigating a serial homicide related to a certain high-profile woman, and you haven't found the perpetrator yet.

It just so happens, I know who that guy is."
