Upper City of Chicago, on the edge, a small apartment in some street.
The moment Jaden pressed the light switch, in the dimly lit room, the silhouette of a stranger on the living room sofa flashed into Assassin Sevin’s view.
Without hesitation, Sevin knocked Jaden to the ground and raised his weapon to pull the trigger.
With several sharp gunshots, a few holes appeared in the living room sofa, but the figure made no sound.
The fallen Jaden was surprised at this scene:
Sevin cursed softly, his experience telling him that danger was sure to be behind him, so he quickly bent over, reaching out to pull Jaden on the ground, preparing to take cover inside the apartment.

Six gunshots sounded, Luo An dodged swiftly without injury, while Sevin was shot in his left arm and left leg, but still endured the pain and lunged towards Luo An.

At the critical moment, Sevin quickly twisted his position and retracted his left hand, pressing his pistol against the dagger as Luo An launched another kick.
Sevin crossed his hands to block, but the powerful force kicked him backward.
Seeing Luo An preparing to shoot again, Sevin hurriedly fell to the ground, raised a leg around Luo An’s ankle, and before Russell could raise his gun, he rolled hard to the right with all his might.
Not wanting his ankle to be broken, Luo An fell to the ground, and the M9 pistol dropped beside the sofa.

Luo An stood up straight, walked towards the struggling Sevin on the ground, and reached out to restrain him.
Just then, a chilling sensation suddenly rose from his lower back, Luo An’s pupils shrank, and without hesitation, he immediately dove to the right to avoid it.
The next second, a hole appeared in the wall exactly where Luo An had been standing!
Luo An, with furrowed brows, shouted loudly:
"Mona! There’s a sniper on the east side! Take cover!"
Mona immediately pressed Jaden to find cover, while simultaneously, Luo An quickly moved sideways and grabbed Sevin’s leg, dragging him to his side.
As soon as Sevin was moved by Luo An, the familiar sound resounded again, another deep hole appearing in the floor where Sevin’s head had been.
Seeing the damaged floor, Luo An recognized the sniper was using an M40 sniper rifle.
Luo An put away his pistol and reached towards his lower back, turning to Sevin and said:
"You owe me a life, Mr. Assassin."
Sevin, seeing where the sniper bullet had hit, knew Luo An’s words were true, but he spat out blood, not wanting to speak.
Luo An pulled out several smoke grenades and threw them forcefully; a few seconds later, the entire room was filled with smoke. Then, Luo An picked up Sevin and quickly moved towards the exit of the apartment, in the opposite direction of the sniper’s line of sight.
Outside the apartment, the car was in a blind spot of the sniper’s vision. Luo An immediately stuffed Sevin into the car, then brought out Mona and Jaden, pressed the accelerator to the floor, and the car dashed towards the distance.
A familiar chill surged again, and Luo An suddenly twisted the steering wheel to the right.
The next second, the familiar sound rang out again, the car’s left rearview mirror instantly shattered by a bullet, metal fragments scattering all around.
Seeing this scene, Sevin’s face showed shock, and Jaden’s mouth was agape, showing his astonishment. They understood Luo An’s action of dodging the bullet but couldn’t comprehend how Luo An managed to do it.
In the back seat, Mona looked tense:
Luo An smiled and assured Mona, looking up through the rearview mirror towards the distant high-rise, his eyes narrowing, silently noting today’s sniper.
On top of a distant building, a bald Caucasian man, looking through his scope, saw the car getting farther and farther, disbelief filled his eyes.
He had fired three shots, all missed, a situation he had never encountered in his many years as an assassin.
The sniper suppressed his incredulous feeling, quickly packed up, stood up, and prepared to leave, erasing any traces.
Before leaving, he took a deep look at the car, firmly memorizing the man in the black hood.
Meanwhile, in the car, as the building grew more distant, Mona slowly exhaled and turned to look at Jaden beside her. Jaden’s cheeks twitched, and he emphatically shouted:
"Rule fourteen of the assassin! I am willing to exchange anything for my life!"
