’Wait, so if I’m understanding things correctly, you’re allowed to let deserters go, what if I asked you to give everyone a chance to leave and simply count them as deserters? Release the sect master and my daughter as well. Can we come to an agreement on that? If we can I’ll do anything you want.’
While Kieran sounded desperate, his clock was ticking and the time he had left was getting shorter and shorter.
’I could do that for you. But you’ll have to pay up. As for your other request, there’s really nothing I can do for you in that aspect. Those two are high value prisoners and will be worthwhile to capture.’
Kieran was worried but figured he could worry about that later. He had done what he could for the sect.
