Susan rolled her eyes and hurried off.

Distracted by Dean’s deflection, Susan momentarily forgot her grievances with her father.
She hurriedly relayed the information she had obtained from Brian.
Dean’s expression turned grave, "Are you sure?"
Susan nodded more confidently than Brian:
"This is all from Brian, he wouldn’t lie to me!
And Brian is too honest; he couldn’t know so much about the Deep Sea Divers.
This information isn’t even available in textual form in any official organization; only warriors who have been to the deep sea battlegrounds and families like ours know about it."
Dean rolled his eyes.
Do those words even go together?
It was only because he loved his daughter too much and couldn’t bear to see Susan sad; otherwise, knowing about Brian’s background, he would have blasted the guy’s head off during their last encounter.
After a moment of silence.
Dean picked up his shotgun, "I understand, I’ll handle this myself at the NW headquarters. Tell Brian not to come back to Los Angeles yet, wait for my news."
Susan dumbly asked, "Why?"
Dean rolled his eyes again and pinched Susan’s cheek, "Be good, my dear daughter. Think less, ask fewer questions. It’s better for us both."
Susan clenched her fists.
The hurricane roared.
Apart from a large crater, there was no sign of Dean.
Susan was not surprised.
Pouting her lips, she glared toward a hundred meters away but could only see a trail of dust disappearing into the distant forest.
That was the disturbance from her father running.
Susan had witnessed even more extraordinary displays of her father’s strength when she was very young.
Many in NW liked to call her mother "T-Rex," not because she had a fiery temper and would shoot people in the head at the slightest provocation.
