Chapter 14 - 14: The Goddess and the Blessing
Ethan glanced sideways at the petite goddess beside him. Her long twin ponytails bounced lightly with each step, and her smile was radiant, full of hope.
But... her chest...
She's really cute... and her boobs are massive, Ethan thought, flustered, his eyes straying for a moment.
Then he shook his head. No. I have Alise. Focus!
Still, his face turned a bit red.
"Eh? Ethan?" Hestia blinked. "You look a little flushed... are you feeling okay?"
She stepped closer with concern in her eyes—and her chest softly pressed against his arm.
Ethan almost froze. "I-I'm okay, goddess. Just a little warm."
Hestia frowned. "You're sure?"
He gave a quick nod. "Promise."
Thankfully, she didn't push further. Soon after, they arrived at her home—a small, abandoned church on the outskirts of the city.
Ethan stepped inside. It was dusty, dim, and sparsely furnished, but it was dry and quiet. It felt lived in... even if poor.
"I know it's not much," Hestia said quickly, her eyes downcast. "Sorry. I just don't have a lot yet..."
Ethan turned to her and saw her looking embarrassed. Her fingers nervously fidgeted with the ribbon beneath her chest.
He glanced around again and smiled gently. "It feels homey to me."
Her eyes widened, then sparkled with joy. "Really?!"
"Yeah," Ethan nodded. "You've made it yours. That's what matters."
She beamed. "You're really kind, Ethan!"
Then she clapped her hands. "Let's get your Falna started!"
Here we go... Ethan thought.
"What do I do?" he asked, even though he knew the process already from the anime.
"Take off your shirt and lie down," Hestia said with a proud smile. "I'll give you my blessing."
Ethan removed his shirt, revealing a well-toned back—evidence of all his training and battles so far. Hestia blinked, cheeks turning a bit pink, but she said nothing as she straddled his waist and uncorked a small vial of ink.
She began chanting in a divine tongue, her finger glowing faintly as she traced the symbol of her Familia onto his skin.
The Falna activated.
And then she froze.
"...What?"
She blinked.
Then leaned in closer.
"...Eh?!"
Her breath hitched.
"What is this?!" she blurted, eyes wide.[STATUS: Ethan]

"You... you have over 900 in magic already?! You're not even a Level 2 yet!"
She jumped off him and started pacing around the room like a squirrel on sugar. "You've never entered the Dungeon! How are your stats this high?!"
Ethan sat up, rubbing his back. "That bad, huh?"
"That good," she shouted. "You're amazing! You're a complete monster!"
He grinned sheepishly. "Thanks, I think?"
"No, seriously, Ethan! These stats... they're elite-level adventurer numbers! Even top-level Familia don't get someone this strong on their first blessing!"
She flopped down onto the bed beside him, holding the sheet like it was a national treasure.
Then she looked at him, eyes shining. "You're going to make the Hestia Familia famous. With you, we'll be unstoppable!"
Ethan chuckled. "Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. We still have to survive the Dungeon first."
Hestia giggled. "True... but still, I'm really happy. Thank you for joining me."
He looked at her—her tiny hands clutching his status sheet, her face full of hope. Despite everything... she really just wanted to build something. A family.
And now, they were two.
Ethan smiled softly. "Let's make this Familia something we're both proud of."
