Chapter 3 - 3: The System’s Arrival
Ethan's heart pounded as he stared at the glowing blue text floating in front of him. His mind was still groggy from waking up, but this... this was something else.
A system? Like in those anime and games?
His fingers twitched, itching to reach out and touch the holographic display, but he hesitated. This isn't normal.
He took a deep breath. "...What the hell is this?"
The glowing letters didn't change. No voice spoke to him, no robotic AI responded. It just hovered there, waiting.
Maybe it's like in the games? Maybe I have to say something specific?
Clearing his throat, he tried again. "Uh... system?"
No response.
He frowned. "Status?"

His body still ached, but adrenaline was starting to override the pain. He glanced at his stats, trying to make sense of them. Strength, Agility, Endurance—all of it was gamified.
"Okay..." he muttered. "This is either the coolest thing ever, or I hit my head harder than I thought."
Before he could process more, another notification appeared.[Ding!] Mission Update!
You have been chosen as a world traveler. In one month, you will be transported to a different world.Ethan froze.
"Wait... what!?"
His eyes widened as he read the message over and over again, his brain struggling to process it. A different world? Like an isekai anime?
He gulped, his throat suddenly dry. This can't be real... right?
"System... what do you mean by different world?"
Silence.
No response.
Ethan's stomach twisted. This was huge. Bigger than anything he had ever imagined. He was just a normal guy—why was he suddenly being sent to another world?
Before he could panic any further, another message popped up.[Ding!] Quest Received!
Objective: Become Stronger
Training Regiment: 100 push-ups, 100 sit-ups, 100 squats, and a 10 km run.
Start Date: Tomorrow.Ethan's jaw dropped. The Saitama workout?!
His muscles still ached from his accident, and the system wanted him to do that?!
"Wait, wait, wait... my body's still not fine!" he protested. "I was literally hit by a damn car!"
No response.
He groaned, running a hand down his face. This system is heartless.
Then something clicked in his mind. Wait... most systems in games or anime give starter packs!
A spark of hope lit up inside him. If this is a system, there has to be something like that!
"Inventory!"
[Ding!]Congratulations! You have received a Starter Package!Ethan almost cheered. "Yes! Thank you, system!"
A small, floating treasure chest icon appeared before him. Without hesitation, he said, "Open package!"
The chest vanished, and a new notification appeared.Starter Pack Contents:Basic Health Potion (Heals minor injuries and restores HP)
Body Improvement Pill (Enhances physical recovery and improves body condition)
Ethan grinned. Jackpot.
Opening his inventory, he took out the Body Improvement Pill. It was a small, glowing blue capsule. Without hesitation, he swallowed it.
Almost instantly, warmth spread through his body. His sore muscles relaxed, the lingering pain in his head dulled, and his body felt... lighter.
"Damn..." He stretched his arms, feeling noticeably better.
This was real. It wasn't a dream.
And if this system was real...
His entire life was about to change.
