“No! Go home, Xue! Or much better find your own place. You can’t expect me to accept you and let you stay here now that I have a wife.” Shen Yi complained.
Oh, no. He didn’t have any plans to let his younger brother stay and take his share on Lu Xinyi’s dishes. He had yet to satisfy those delicacies himself and he was looking forward to eat more food that his wife cooked for him. The husband should get the utmost priority!
“What? You’re kicking me out?” Shen Xue was shocked that his brother was trying to make him leave. He’d been doing this for ages, always breaking in Shen Yi’s home whenever their father and grandmother tries to make him do something he doesn’t want to. He was slightly unnerved by the intense stare that his older brother giving him.
Shen Xue looked at his new sister in law with pleading eyes.
“Big Sis, why can’t I stay here? I promise I won���t do anything you wouldn’t want me to.” He raised his right hand, swearing his allegiance to his brother’s woman.
“Well, I don’t know. It’s your brother’s decision if you could stay or not.” Lu Xinyi tried her best not to be dragged on their problem.
“Big Sis! How could you tolerate him? You even married my brother. Aren’t you afraid that he’s just using you to clear off the rumors about him? My brother is rude, cruel and dare I say… might be a gay.”
A vein almost popped on Shen Yi’s head from his brother’s insults. How dare Shen Xue insult him in front of his wife?
“You dare?” Shen Yi stood up from his seat and was about to grab his brother’s collar but Shen Xue had already anticipated his move and jumped out from his seat.
“Oh no, you don’t! You won’t bully me in front of your wife.” Shen Xue ran towards the living room. He bumped into one of the drawers and broke a vase.
“You will pay for that!” Shen Yi yelled and followed his brother.
Lu Xinyi pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. Why were her husband and his brother acting like unsupervised kids? She tidied up the dirty dishes and put them to the sink. When she was done cleaning the kitchen, she found both brothers still arguing if Shen Xue should stay or not.
“You don’t want Big Sis to meet Dad? Are you ashamed of her or what?” Shen Xue asked as he patted Mallow’s head while Milktea was licking the side of his face. He was sitting on the floor and glaring up to his brother.
Shen Yi scoffed and crossed his arms.
“Of course not, why would be ashamed of her? I just think it isn’t the right time to tell him.”
It was then something clicked on Shen Xue’s mind.
“Ha! If you don’t let me stay here for a week, I’ll tell Dad!” he exclaimed.
“So a thought crossed on your mind? Must have been a long and lonely journey.” Shen Yi sighed and shook his head.
“See how rude my brother is, Big Sis? Why did you marry someone like him?” Shen Xue took his phone and dialed their father’s number.
“Hello, Dad. I wanna tell you something. It’s about-” Shen Xue’s phone disappeared on his hand “Hey, give it back to me!”
His elder brother ended the call and turned the mobile phone off.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?!” Shen Yi roared. He was planning to take a day off and spend some time with his wife and yet his idiot of a brother appeared from nowhere, ruining his plans.
“I told you, I will tell Dad about her if you don’t let me stay.”
“Xue, you’re a Vice President of our company. Shouldn’t you have your own place by now and start living as an adult?” Shen Yi chastised his brother. Shen Xue, even at the age of twenty-six still lives on their grandmother’s home.
“Or you can just tell me you don’t want me here. You want to keep all delicious food Big Sis will cook for today.” Shen Xue grumbled.
“Oh, I wouldn’t deny that fact.” Shen Yi snorted back.
“Darling, I don’t have a problem if he stays with us for a couple of days. Besides, it will be a good opportunity to know each other, right?” Lu Xinyi smiled at him expectantly.
“Yes! Tell him, Big Sis. I don’t wanna eat instant noodles somewhere knowing my brother is getting some delicious meals from you.” Ah, he wouldn’t miss this chance to eat more while staying at his brother’s place.
“You sound reasonable. It must be time to up my medication. Okay. You can stay but only for a week. After that, I’ll kick your arse out of here.” Shen Yi sighed and started to make his way upstairs and to his study. His wife followed him shortly.
“You’re sick?” she asked, putting down a cup of coffee with creamer on his desk. Shen Yi preferred his coffee with creamer and a spoonful of sugar. She was surprised when her husband pulled her arm and make her sat on his lap.
“Yes, dear. Can you please call an ambulance, your beauty is killing me.” he grinned.
Lu Xinyi gaped at him before smacking his face lightly.
“Shen Yi! You and your cheesy pickup lines!” Her husband could only laugh seeing her blushing face. How can he be a gay when Lu Xinyi knows he was the King of Pick up Lines and the biggest flirt of the century.
