Back then, protected by the city elders and Mr. and Mrs. Yuan, all she could do was persuade the City Lord to expel Yuan Shahu.
Never did she expect that eight years later, she would be the cause of her son’s death.
"Shahua, what on earth happened? Did you truly..." Yuan Buqu’s face was a picture of ugliness, never expecting his daughter’s hatred for Xuan Wuji to be so deep.

"Enough, all of you shut up!" City Lord Xuan Sitian roared, "You think the commotion isn’t big enough yet? Lock Yuan Shahu in the dungeon, let the Great Elder and Buqu stay, the rest of you, get out!"
City Lord Xuan Sitian waved his hand, and the servants hastily carried away Xuan Wuji’s corpse.
