A quick note from the author—and don't worry, it's a free chapter.
I’ve seen some readers express surprise about the recent reveals regarding Jenkins’s elven and royal heritage, but I wanted to show that the clues have been there all along! Why is anyone still shocked?
Here’s a quick recap of some of the key foreshadowing from past chapters. (No new spoilers, I promise!)
1. Back in Chapter 342, after Jenkins’s outburst of life force, Alexia Miller asked him, "Have your ears gotten a bit pointier?"
This was the first major, direct clue.
2. In Chapter 354, Audrey had a conversation with another individual in the Evergreen Forest. The key takeaways were:
a. The giant tree at the heart of the Evergreen Forest is likely connected to the World Tree.
b. The World Tree is tied to the elves, who have withdrawn from the material world and worship a being known as the "Lord of Blossoms."
c. A branch of this elven royal line—guardians of the World Tree and priests of the Lord of Blossoms—still exists in the material world: the Middleton family (mentioned in Chapter 355).
3. As early as Chapter 16, Jenkins was curious why the Smiths United Mining Company was helping his family and planned to ask the Church to investigate.
Then, in Chapter 481, a conversation between Papa Oliver and Audrey confirmed two things: first, that the World Tree is connected to Jenkins, and second, that Robert Williams knows the real reason for his family's improved fortunes but is keeping it a secret.
Finally, in Chapter 703, it was revealed that the true owner of the Smiths United Mining Company is a mysterious marquis from the royal capital.
Together, these three points strongly hinted at a connection between the Williams family and the royal nobility.
4. In Chapter 22, during his first encounter with the Young Flower Seller, Jenkins displayed incredible luck. Afterward, her attitude toward him was always notably favorable. Tʜe source of this ᴄontent ɪs NovєlFіre.net
In Chapter 46, we learn that she worships the "Lord of Blossoms."
And, as mentioned above, Chapter 354 established the connection between the elves and the Lord of Blossoms.
5. In the background descriptions from the first ten chapters, it was mentioned that Jenkins looks unusually young for his age.
In Chapter 192, both the Queen's steward and Miss Windsor remarked on how young he looked.
And I forget the exact chapter, but it was mentioned once that the kings of Fidektri have historically all appeared quite youthful.
(I honestly can't find the chapter for that last one, but I know it's in there! If anyone remembers, feel free to point it out.)
There are plenty of other clues scattered throughout, like the reactions of certain individuals upon first meeting him, Miss Windsor's consistent attitude, and so on.
So, to sum up, the following points have already been clearly established:
1. One of Jenkins's ancestors was an illegitimate child of a royal. (There's another small hint in Chapter 514.)
2. The royal family possesses elven blood.
Therefore, Jenkins has the royal blood of the Fidektri Kingdom and, at the same time, elven heritage. This is content that has been woven into the story for a long time, not something thrown out of nowhere.
Digging through all the old chapters was exhausting! Anyway, that's all for now. Thanks for your support, and please remember to vote for the story!
