Luke opened the whiskey bottle, and Daisy came over with two glasses and a bag of peanuts and placed them on the table before turning to leave.
Luke poured two glasses of whiskey and handed one to Lawrence Miller, "Cheers."
Lawrence Miller picked up the glass and sniffed it, looking delighted, and downed it in one gulp.
Luke took a sip and ate a peanut.
Lawrence Miller also grabbed a peanut and tossed it into his mouth, 'crunch crunch'. After a few chews, he complained, "Too hard."
Luke poured him another glass of whiskey, joking, "Clearly, these snacks were meant just for me."
At that, Lawrence Miller snorted and took a big gulp from his glass.
The two chatted while they drank.
Lawrence Miller had been drinking before he came to Daisy's house, and now his drunkenness was even more apparent, "Luke, you are a good man.
The five hundred dollars you gave was important to me, but that bastard took it.
It really upsets me."
Luke advised, "Don't worry too much about it, it's just five hundred dollars after all."

"Here's a toast to you." Lawrence Miller raised his glass again and took another sip, adding to his inebriation.
In less than half an hour, the two had finished a bottle of whiskey, most of which was consumed by Lawrence Miller.
Luke stood up, "The whiskey is finished, and the party is over, I'm going to sleep."
"Gurgle..." Lawrence Miller belched, patting his forehead, "Good whiskey, haven't had such good stuff in a long time. Don't you have another bottle? Bring it out, quick."
"We can't drink anymore, I have to work tomorrow." Luke said and headed straight to Daisy's house.
Lawrence Miller yawned, "I'm a bit sleepy too, can I stay here?"
"No, we have other plans." Luke chuckled and went inside the house.
I hope you drop dead on some woman's belly someday." Lawrence Miller, swaying, got into his black Honda car and drove onto the community road.
Luke stood by the window looking out.
Daisy also came over and said, "He's gone."
"Yes, he drank quite a bit, it's very unsafe for him to drive like that."
"And you deliberately plied him with drinks?"

"But it worked well, it got rid of him at least." Daisy finished and frowned slightly, "What if he comes back tomorrow?"

"Then I can rest easy because that day will never come." Luke took out a spare phone and dialed 911, "Hello, I'd like to report a crime."
The operator asked, "Sir, what happened?"
"I saw a dangerously driven car near the Flying Bar. It was swerving like crazy, almost hit me.
If you don't stop him soon, he might end up in the sky."
"Sir, did you see the license plate number?"
"Did you get a clear look at the driver?"
"No, just know it was a black Honda car..."
