Li Manni placed the cup of coffee on Chu Lui’s desk. He looked up, eyebrows knitted together. “You can actually stay at home. There are many other things to do if you are bored. Life in a company can be dreary.”
Li Manni smiled as she sat at the side. “There’s no need. I feel fine here, keeping you company and gaining knowledge. I love it here.”
She had decided to learn the ropes of managing a business. If she couldn’t stay at home, then she could prevent the woman from wrecking her family apart.
Chu Lui was silent as he took the coffee mug and drank. He used the spoon in his hand to stir the dark brown substance gently. The coffee taste in his mouth was bitter.
