Arabella POV
It's hurting me to say that words to him but I have to protect myself from him. He's not a good person to be with and I don't want to be played for a fool again.
I let out a big sigh and try to relax in my queen size big. It's my day off today and I am enjoying this day for myself.
I am planning to clean my apartment, go to grocery store and eat ice cream while staying in bed the whole time and tune in to Netflix.
Yes! I live separately with my parents. I want to be independent and thank God my parents especially my brothers agreed when I asked them that I want to live on my own. But even though they agreed, they keep visiting in my apartment every now and then talk about over protective again. But I just let them be, since I know they are right anyway.
I get up and push the blanket aside to step out in my bed. I hurriedly went to my washroom to do my business and take my shower.
I changed into my comfortable clothes since I will spending my time out of hospital. So casual will be fine for now. I let my hair down and wear my flip top.
I went outside and drove my car to the nearest McDonald's. I been craving for it lately, since I don't have much time to stop. Being doctor, you need to pour all your attention to your job. Can't afford mistakes since its life that we are saving.
After eating breakfast, I drove to the grocery store. The lines are pack and people are busy picking up their stuff. I went to ice cream section and choose my ever favorite flavor of all time, mocha chocolate with peanut and marshmallow, just exactly I love.
But before I could grab the ice cream container, a hand bet me to it. I look up and saw a girl, a pretty little girl.
"This is mine" she hissed at me.
"Ok, it's yours.. " I just need to grab another one though other flavor.
"Thank you!" She smile to me.
"Welcome little girl" I said while I smiled to her in respond.
"Hey Katie what are you doing in there?" A familiar make voice I heard at the back of the girl.
"Hey Ashy...!" Oh no... Not again..
He appeared on the back of the girl and when he noticed me, he look shock and then he regain his compose, then he smiled at me.
"Ara small world huh? What are you doing here?" He asked me while she look at me closely especially my basket where still empty.
"I bet her in getting ice cream Ashy... Hehehehe!" The little girl giggled to us
"Oh! You love ice cream too huh? By the way, this is my niece. She's my mom sister daughter Katherine, you can call her Katie for short. And Katie this is Arabella" Ashton introduced us to each other.
"Hi pretty girl" I said then I shake her little hands to mine.
"Your beautiful and very pretty. Are you Ashy girlfriend?" She asked me innocently
I shake my head in respond and look into Ashton whose looking to us.
"Nope! We are just friends" I said to her.
"Ouch... Ashy.. You should make her your girlfriend, she's very pretty and you both suit each other" she said to us while her eyes travelled to me to Ashton.
"Hahaha... Sorry about her, she's very talkative!" Ashton said while laughed awkwardly.
"It's true... Do you want to come with us? We're going to have little party in my house. Don't worry a lot sweet foods will be serve" she said as she invited me.
"Ops.. maybe next time... I still need to do things in my house" I said while I caress her cheeks affectionately.
"Really? But I like you though... You're so kind, not those other pretty girl they are so mean!" She said while she pouted her cute lips.
"Ashton... I need to go. I need to grab few things for my house. See you next time little girl!" I said then I turn around walking away from them.
"Arabella... Take care" Ashton shout to me.
"You too both" I said then leaving then behind while I ready my basket.
After I am through with the things I need to put in my basket. I went to the cashier to pay the bills but the line is too long. I sigh and I line instead.
"Ara... You can line with us" Ashton said. I look at up to him whose on the other line but more close to the cashier. I shake my head since I don't want to be unfair for other customers who followed the rules in lining to pay in the cashier.
"Thanks... But I think I need to line Ashton!" I said while I stay put in my place.
"Come on!" Then he grab my basket in my hand. He put it in the counter since they are already in the cashier.
After the cashier finish, I was about to hand my card but Ashton bet me to it.
"I will pay for it!" Then he hand his card to the cashier.
"Ashton...!" I was about to protest.
"That's ok Beautiful, he have many many money...hehheh.." the little girl Katie said to me.
I waited for them to finished since I don't want to impolite. He paid for my groceries so I decided to wait for them. After awhile they finished and Ashton grabbed all the plastic paper.
"Ashton..." But before I could finished my sentence, he walked away heading towards the exit. Leaving me and Katie.
"Come!" I said to Katie while she hold my hand and we walked together.
When were almost in the parking area. I saw Ashton waiting in his car side.
"Thank you for paying and for carrying my belongings" I said to him as I grab the plastic bag.
"My mom called, I told her that Katie and I meet you here. She asked me to invite you. Please?" He said
"Pretty please... I really really like you. Can I play longer with you? Please? I promise to be good girl" she said while she make a promise sign on her cute little hand.
I shrugged and take a deep breath.
"Fine! I will come" I said while I smiled to Katie.
Ashton grab my bags again and guide us to his car. I am sitting in the passenger seat while Katie is on my lap. She said she doesn't want to go back seat.
