"I’m not calling the police!" Calling them wouldn’t make a difference anyway. This man is completely out of control and has already reached the point of lawlessness.
Shi Yu chuckled lightly: "Then what do you want to do?"
The atmosphere changed too quickly; just a moment ago she seemed determined to have it out with him, but in the blink of an eye she turned into a little woman, wrapping her arms around his waist.
As she hugged him, Shi Yu felt a deep sense of satisfaction, like a sly demon chuckling under his breath, "Hold on tighter."
"Let me go first, then I can hold on tighter."
Shi Yu’s grip relaxed slightly, and Shen Cheng immediately hugged him closer, a sly smile creeping across her petite face.
Just as Shi Yu lowered his guard, she bent her body slightly and easily slipped out of his embrace.
Feeling the emptiness in his arms, Shi Yu’s face darkened, his eyes filled with gloominess and a murderous rage.
Shen Cheng stopped at the study door, leaned against it to look back at him, her smile bewitching, "Sorry, I really need to pee, let’s hug another time!"
A bone-chilling aura emanated from Shi Yu’s body as he glared at her furiously, commanding in a deep voice: "Get back here!"
Having successfully provoked him, Shen Cheng smiled even more brazenly, "I told you I’m in a hurry, husband, you really have no clue about cherishing the fairer sex!"
After speaking, she closed the door and ran off.
Shi Yu, enraged, took a big step forward and with a loud bang, he kicked open the door and chased after her.
Hearing the loud noise upstairs, the servants looked at each other, utterly bewildered, and couldn’t help but start gossiping.
"What happened? Did something break?"
"That doesn’t sound like the noise of something breaking, it sounded more like someone kicking a door."
"Kicking a door? Who would dare to do such a thing?"
"Come on, who else but the Young Master and Young Madam would dare to kick a door?"
"Could it be that they’re arguing?"
"With such a commotion, it sounds more like a fight!"
"Don’t talk nonsense."
"Shh! Keep it down..."
The servants whispered amongst themselves downstairs, while upstairs the couple was engaged in a battle of the century.
Shen Cheng left the study and ran straight to the bedroom, pulled out the key from the lock outside and double-locked the door. She had just leaned against it and let out a long breath when the door shuddered from a kick from outside.
Then came a voice, chilling and menacing: "Open the door!"
The dangerous tone betrayed the man’s anger on the other side of the door.
"Nope, I’m sleeping alone tonight, you can sleep in the study," Shen Cheng said in a voice so sweet it was intolerable, even to herself.
"You have ten seconds. If you don’t open it, you’ll face the consequences!"
Outside, Shi Yu’s patience was wearing thin, his frosty eyes full of intense anger.
Hearing him start to count, Shen Cheng still had no intention of opening the door. She just leaned against it, listening as he counted down.
She laughed bewitchingly, finding a perverse pleasure in his voice tinged with veiled threats.
Nine to three? Shen Cheng’s smile stiffened as confusion spread across her face. He must have attended college in kindergarten!
"Not so fast," Shen Cheng raised an eyebrow, reminding him, "You haven’t counted two!"
She still dared to remind him to count two? Shi Yu’s gaze turned even sharper, he frowned deeply and glanced at the firmly shut door, his voice tinged with impatience: "Shen Chengzi, do you realize I have a spare key?"
Shen Cheng was unimpressed; if he had the key, why would he waste his breath talking to her? He should have just come in already.
"If you have the key, then come in!"
She immediately regretted her words, because she heard... the sound of a key being inserted into the lock.
