"Where are you going?" Bai Quing asked and went to look out from the window only to see the white cat running away into the trees down the mountain.
"Come back, junior brother might blame me if you go missing," Bai Quing called out. She assumed that the white cat belonged to Leon, it would be a bit awkward if she had to explain how his cat fled after she barged into his room.
Coming out of the courtyard, Bai Quing followed the path of the white cat down the mountain.
Meanwhile, Leon ran as far as he could away from the house. After making sure that he was far enough and Bai Quing wasn't close by, he changed into his human form before climbing up a tree and starting to pick fruits.
Bai Quing soon appeared and spotted him.
"Junior brother? What are you doing there?" Bai Quing asked with a raised eyebrow.
With a fruit in his mouth and another in his hand, Leon jumped down from the tree branch and landed lightly on the ground.
"I came to pick fruits, senior sister" Leon removed the fruit from his mouth and said respectfully while cupping his fist.
"Was senior sister looking for me?" Leon raised his gaze to meet Bai Quing's while at the same time using 'love rush'.
"Yes, did you forget that I have to prepare you for the dueling next month? You left your room so early, and Master wasn't even aware of this; I hope you aren't up to something bad," Bai Quing spoke in a serious tone.
"Of course not, I wouldn't dare." Leon shook his head frantically while wondering if Love Rush wasn't working on this senior sister of his, why wasn't she blushing like his master yet?
"Good. By the way, did you see a white cat come this way?" Bai Quing asked suddenly.
"Eh? A white cat? There's a white cat on the mountain?" Leon pretended to be clueless and asked in a surprised manner.
'I see, so he's not the owner of the cat; where did that cat come from then? Doesn't matter; at least I no longer need to explain why I barged into his room,' Bai Quing sighed inwardly.
"Forget it, let's start with your training" Bai Quing waved her hand dismissively before leading Leon to an open area within the woods.
They stood facing each other, gentle wind caused their robes to flutter.
"Since you claim that you do not remember anything yet, do you at least know the name of the martial technique that you are practicing?
The last time I attacked you, your palm strike felt to me like I had attacked three palms that were joined together; that technique of yours is definitely no ordinary technique, it should be at level 2 at least or even level 3" Bai Quing said with a thoughtful look on his face.
"Level 2 or 3?" Leon stared at her blankly, clueless as to what she was talking about; he wasn't familiar with the ranks of martial techniques on planet Hafari.
"I see you really don't remember anything huh? Then I'll tell you," Bei Quing shook her head before explaining to Leon.
Martial art techniques on planet Hafari were graded into three levels which humans with talent for shi could train to get stronger.
There were numerous ungraded martial techniques that ordinary humans could train their bodies with to be able to at least defend themselves from others or from ferocious beasts.
But immediately one noticed that they had awakened the original Shi in their bodies, they would start to train in graded martial arts techniques.
The lowest of the grades was grade one martial art technique which would allow one to reach the 3 level by training with such martial technique. As the lowest grade, it was obviously weaker than the other two grades, and the speed of people who trained with these techniques was naturally slow, and they were unable to make progress after reaching the 3rd level.
Grade two martial arts techniques allowed one to go from level one to level six; its speed of advancement would also be faster than that of a grade one martial arts technique naturally; a person could reach the 6th level within five hundred to eight hundred years depending on their talents.
As for grade 3 martial techniques, they were the strongest and very rare. They could allow one to reach the 9th level within a couple of hundred years or even less if one was talented enough! Not only that, the might of a person who trained with a grade 3 martial technique would be stronger than others who trained with lower grade techniques even if they were at the same level.
"It's exactly the case with your technique, I felt the force of a level three from you when you are only a level two. And according to Master, you've trained for only a month! This makes me suspect that your technique is a trade 3 martial technique or…" Bai Quing trailed off.
" Or what?" Leon wasn't able to bear the suspense and pushed for an answer.
Bai Quing looked at him, her eyes narrowed and she softly said.
" Or a legendary grade 4 technique that is only heard of"
Leon's eyes widened.
'The Three Worlds folding art from the system is so impressive. But it only has three martial arts pages, it must be a grade three but that's impressive too'
Of course, there was no way Leon was going to admit that he knew about it; he would keep feigning ignorance!
After a few minutes of lecture, Bai Quing asked Leon to demonstrate his martial arts technique for her to see.
Slightly nervous that the woman would see through his technique, Leon still obediently began to train according to the first page of the Three Worlds folding Art.
He began to throw punches and palm strikes into the air as he moved around the clearing, his fist and palm causing the air around him to explode.
His movements were natural and smooth without any mishaps, it was clear that he had mastered these moves.
From the side, Bai Quing stared at Leon with a serious expression; she was shocked at what she was looking at but did not show it.
'A martial technique that contains dual arts, just what is this technique?' She exclaimed inwardly. No martial arts technique ever possessed dual training, not even grade 3 or grade 4, which were only heard in legends.
It was either one or another art, yet, Leon was currently switching between fists and palm strikes!
Bai Quing was a fist martial artist herself. She trained a grade 2 martial fist technique, but she wasn't able to grasp the essence of Leon's martial technique even though it was being displayed right in front of her.
It was as if she was looking at a simple dance that wasn't meant for her kind. It was like watching a dragon dance and memorizing it but knowing you won't be able to replicate the moves because you were no dragon.
'Does Master know about this? Maybe it's why she's so persistent on having him as her second disciple even though he's a man' Bai Quing began to think that maybe Quin Xuxu knew about Leon's background but was hiding it from her.
'I will have to ask her later,' Bai Quing concluded in her mind before asking Leon to stop the demonstration.
"Your technique is very strange and would catch people off guard if you utilize it well; attack me; let me see your fighting style." Bai Quing stood in place and asked Leon to attack her with his technique.
