The figure was of a middle-aged man, unmistakable due to his physical features. He stood over 6 feet tall, dressed in all black like black clothes, and a black t-shirt, and pants.
The most striking thing about him, though, was his appearance. It was almost as if his face had no distinct features, an eerie emptiness where expression should have been.
It was blank, that’s right, completely blank. Since there was no face or expression.
"Ummm, system, what is that thing?" he asked, pointing at the human figure standing still, like it was frozen in time.
[What’s in front of you is the very famous instructor from planet Terra X, Instructor Jakol. He’s the best instructor who trained the 7 Omegas, making him feared in every nation.]
[He’s a legend when it comes to close-quarter combat, and he’s the perfect one for you to train under.]
"Umm, why should I learn this? I don’t like fighting," Jeff said to the system.
He was not into fighting since it was so immature, and also he was a bit afraid and timid. That’s why, in his first life, sometimes he was bullied.
The bullying wasn’t excessive, but it was still bullying, especially since he was small during his high school years.
You could say he was an easy target, and he didn’t fight back. As he could only cry.
Remembering those years, he frowned, regretting how cowardly he had been.
Even though his mother and father were being laughed or made joked at, he just swallowed it, treating it as a joke instead of standing up for them.
His eyes turned serious, but he knew that fighting with fists wasn’t always the answer. Since there were other ways to handle things.
However, not knowing how to fight made him an easier target, and maybe, just maybe, it was time for some changes.
[Well Because whether you like fighting or not it is irrelevant. In this world, strength is survival, and survival begins with your fists.
[The very learning is that you don’t train to become a killer. You train so no one else gets to decide your ending]
[Actually, the kind of training you will undergo is learning how to kill. So, it depends on how you choose to use it.]
Hearing this, Jeff fell into deep thought, "The system is right. Every time I was bullied, the ending was always me crying and staying quiet. Let’s try changing the ending, rewriting the script from now on." His eyes were filled with resolve.
"But why doesn’t it have a face?" Jeff asked, still puzzled.

Jeff rolled his eyes, knowing it was always the same reason. It could replicate the body and everything, but the face. Apparently, it was energy consuming? Yeah, right.
"So, who is this Jakol you’re talking about? Is he famous back in that place?" Jeff asked.
[Well, Instructor Jakol. Who was given codename ’Voidhand’ was the Former Head Instructor of GHOST UNIT OMEGA-1. He was recognized across Terra-X as the man who forged the deadliest combat unit in recorded history]
[He has many amazing feats, including neutralizing a rebellion in another country with over 100,000 soldiers using only a combat knife, with no casualties on his side. Also, there were only 3 people with him at that time.]
[He disarmed a full mechanized squad with his bare hands in under 10 seconds, blindfolded. Each member of that squad could defeat 1,000 special forces soldiers if put into your own world.]
"Damn, so strong! That world is crazy," Jeff said, completely in awe of how a person could be that strong.
[He once infiltrated a high-security bunker filled with advanced security and traps. He eliminated all the armed targets and extracted two hostages, all while posing as a janitor.]
[He holds the record for training all 7 Omega Agents without a single trainee dropping out, which is a first in Terra-X history.]
[His title is ’Zero,’ meaning that in his lifetime, no mission he participated in ever failed. In Terra-X, his name alone is listed as a Tier-Zero Threat Class. This means that even without weapons or a mission, he is to be watched at all times.]
"Damn, totally amazing. But system, can I ask?" Jeff said, looking at the system with a wide smile.
"The heck, you want me to fight someone so legendary? Do you want me to die and get beaten up?"
His eyes were red with frustration as he kicked and punched the system panel, filled with rage.
Neutralizing a rebellion with over 100,000 soldiers with only 4 people on the team? Just how awesome is that guy?
Even the special soldiers he had seen in movies wouldn’t survive 50 soldiers ganging up on them. But if they did survive, they must have suffered devastating injuries.
But that instructor in front of him handled 100,000 rebels. Clearly, it wasn’t just fighting ability involved, he must have been extremely smart.
As Jeff kicked the system in frustration, every physical attack just passed through it, treating his strikes like air.

[Anyway, you are just wasting your energy, which isn’t very good.]
"Energy, energy, you’re always mumbling about that. So how do you expect me to defeat this Jakol?" Jeff said, stopping with a serious look on his face.
[Just fight back, that simple]
"This is the stupidest response I’ve ever had in my life," He uttered, not knowing how to react to this.
[Also, there are lots of stages that you must undergo. The first level is close-quarters combat. If you can surpass him and defeat him, then you can move on to the second level.]
"Hmm," Jeff looked down, deep in thought, considering his next move.
His eyes were closed, searching for an answer on how he could possibly beat someone this godly. He knew for sure he wouldn’t get killed, but the beating would definitely be there.
Feeling perplexed, he suddenly looked at the system, a bright idea forming in his mind as he thought about a possible reason.
"System, in this training ground is the..."
[No host, the pain is set to normal. So, every beating you take, every broken bone you receive, will feel just as painful as it would in real life.]
[That’s why, don’t expect that the pain will be set to zero, since every fine soldier went through hardships and pain]
He didn’t even finish his words as his face turned grave, the system’s response sinking in.
