Chapter 566: Chapter 566: Baby Chi Runs Right Into It
Chi Enen wasn’t crying the kind that still suppresses sobs for the sake of preserving an image, but truly wailing, the kind of crying that darkened the skies and shattered hearts.
Li Beijue felt as though someone had gouged his heart out and trampled on it repeatedly, filling him with a murderous rage.
A chill crept through the clothes on his chest.
His tense Adam’s apple bobbed as he suddenly bent down and swept up the inconsolably crying woman in a princess carry to take her outside.
Baby Chi heard the commotion and toddled over in slippers far too big, pitter-pattering rapidly, “Woman?”
He had just reached the study room doorway when he saw the man emanating a formidable aura, carrying a still sobbing Chi Enen out.
His wide eyes suddenly enlarged, tiny silver teeth clenched tightly, his little face tensed with childishness, clearly unable to contain his fury as he spread his arms in front of Li Beijue, accusingly demanding, “What did you do to Chi Enen? Did you bully her? Why is she crying so heartbrokenly?”
“Move aside,” Li Beijue said icily, not in the mood to explain.
“I won’t!” Chi Jingchen might have been small, but at that moment, he truly resembled a man, standing his ground with his chest puffed out. His fiery eyes, identical to the other’s, blazed with unbridled anger as he angrily extended a hand, “Give me back my woman! I don’t want you to be my father anymore! I want to go home!”
He had never seen his woman so heartbroken before; surely it must have been The Neighbor Old Wang who bullied her.
Baby Chi, frantic like an ant on a hot pan, was both angry and distressed.
If he had known The Neighbor Old Wang would bully Chi Enen, he would have never gone out to play.
He didn’t want a father anymore; he just wanted his woman. He wouldn’t even bother to study or make money; so what if they had no money, he could always sell lollipops in kindergarten to help out at home. He didn’t want Chi Enen to cry, nor did he care about living in a nice house or riding in fancy cars anymore! He just wanted to return to Capital City, back to their own home.
Li Beijue spared him a glance before stepping around him with his long legs.
“Stop! Give me back Chi Enen!” He blocked his path again.
Li Beijue circumvented him once more.
Baby Chi’s small face was full of anger, and seeing that he couldn’t stop him, a fiery rage erupted in his reddened eyes. He hurled himself forward, sinking his teeth into the man’s strong thigh!
Li Beijue cast a cold glare at the servant who stood frozen in shock, his fury boundless, “Take the little young master back to his room now!”
The servant, struck by his piercing look, shuddered and hurried to pick up Chi Jingchen, cooing in an attempt to soothe, “Little Young Master, don’t make a fuss, let’s go back to your room and play, shall we?”
“Get off!” Baby Chi, yanked away, kicked and screamed in a rage, “Let me go! Let go of me!”
No matter how clever he was, he was still just a five-year-old, nowhere near as strong as an adult, and was swiftly lifted into the air.
“Little Young Master, it’s alright, let’s go back to your room…”
“I told you to get off!” Baby Chi, inflamed with anger, was indeed just like his biological father. Sadly, because he was so young, he had no intimidating presence. The servant carried him towards the bedroom.
As he saw himself being carried further and further away, his eyes reddened with urgency, and with a cry in his voice he ranted, “The Neighbor Old Wang, you have no shame! Bullying women and children! You’re no man…”
