Chapter 894: Chapter 894: Enen is Still Sleeping
When Li Beijue returned, Lin Anxin, Si Chen, Huo Yi, and Baby Chi all stood up simultaneously.
Si Chen was the first to ask, “Beijue, what’s the situation?”
“Nothing much. The person was already gone when I got there, left 4 hours ago. I brought back the motel’s boss and lady boss for questioning and monitoring. They need to review the surveillance footage from the intersection to find the person. Everything else has to wait until we track the person down from the footage,” Li Beijue said as he walked inside.
“Why did she run off? Could it be that she discovered the cat inside Nuonuo’s bell and left because of that?”
Baby Chi’s heart clenched tight.
He was afraid that the bad guys had found what he hid inside the bell, which might put Nuonuo in danger.
Li Beijue saw his involuntary clutching of his small hand, pressed his thin lips together, averted his gaze, and said to Si Chen, “No, it’s a coincidence. It has nothing to do with the bell. The boss said that person left because of a quarrel with his wife in a fit of anger.”
He had no interest in responding to the trivial matters of others’ family gossip, automatically ignoring Si Chen’s confusion, and asked Huo Yi, “Has Chi Enen woken up?”
“No, Miss Chi is still sleeping.”
“Alright, I’ll go check on her.”
Halfway there, Li Beijue turned around and came back, standing in front of Baby Chi. He suddenly reached out, patted his head, and said to Lin Anxin, “Lin Anxin, take him to sleep.”
Lin Anxin was startled, clearly not expecting him to suddenly turn back and say that, but she quickly agreed, “Uh, okay.”
“The rest can only proceed after we get the surveillance footage. You all take some rest.” After speaking, he turned around and left, his tall silhouette offering an inexplicable sense of security. It was as if his presence provided a backbone.
Watching his departing figure, Baby Chi felt much better and took Lin Anxin’s hand on his own initiative, his cool and handsome little face lifting up, “Aunt Anxin, will you sleep with me, please?”
Since The Neighbor Old Wang had said that they would review the surveillance and could only find Nuonuo through the footage, he needed to seize the time to rest well. He had to be full of energy to help find Nuonuo.
And Aunt Anxin had also been awake with him all day; she needed rest as well.
No matter what, at least they had a clue now, a clue that he had found.
Baby Chi recalled the feeling of the man’s large hand pressing on the top of his head, feeling a surge of manly, blood-stirring heat.

Quietly standing by the bed for a while, his gaze involuntarily drifted from her closed eyes down to the corner of her mouth.
Her slightly reddened lips were pursed tightly, like jelly, tempting someone to take a bite!
A fire seemed to ignite within his body, a heat flow rushing quickly through his abdomen. He cursed “shit” under his breath, forced his gaze away, turned around, and took a cold shower in the bathroom. After putting on a sleeping gown, he lay down.
