Qin Qin’s hoarse voice, carrying a hint of old age, rang out, and Aier nodded gratefully. Qin Qin took out a Pain-Relief Pill and had Aier swallow it. Aier did not hesitate to take it, and in the next moment, in less than a minute, he felt no pain at all in his hand. He was elated, but before he could react, he heard a ’crack’ from his hand—Qin Qin had set it back in place.
Madam Ah Man looked at Qin Qin with gratitude, "Thank you, Madam Mo, thank you."
"No need for thanks!" Mo Yunchen, who was holding Qin Qin, spoke. Aier glanced at him, his mind slightly startled, guessing this must be Qin Qin’s husband that his wife had mentioned.
"Aier wouldn’t do such a thing. Miao Clan Elder, you must stand up for Aier."
All the people from Jiannan Village said to the Miao Clan Elder, while those from Yaoyun Village obstinately shouted back, "How could he not? Haven’t you seen the wound on Ah Ban’s head?"
"Just because he’s injured, could it not be that he fell and then falsely accused Aier?"
Yaoyun Village looked at the person who spoke and saw a large, heavily pregnant figure wearing a veil. The skin exposed outside was aged and wrinkled, and there was a faint scar behind the veil.
Yi Pu sneered with contempt, "Freak, who are you to speak here?"
Yi Pu had just finished speaking when he suddenly felt a severe pain in his mouth and a sharp pain in his leg, which brought him to his knees instantly.

Yi Pu covered his mouth; blood was continuously flowing out. It seemed like his teeth were broken. He did not know what exactly had happened, only felt as though something hit his mouth with such force that it instantly swelled and bled, even breaking his teeth.
And his leg—it felt as if something had been stabbed into it, hurting so much he couldn’t stand.
Yi Pu didn’t realize that he would indeed not be able to stand on his leg, not just for a moment, but for a lifetime.
Silver Needle’s silver needles pierced straight into the acupoints on his leg, blocking the flow of his meridians, causing his legs to gradually become useless.
Qin Qin and Mo Yunchen exchanged glances, their hands discreetly pulling back. Her eyes softened as she looked at his hands gently brushing off the dust and mud left by picking up rocks. She took out a handkerchief to wipe it off for him, while Mo Yunchen tenderly held her hand, his phoenix eyes full of warmth and affection.
The Miao Clan Elder noticed the couple’s subtle movements and the affectionate looks in their eyes—they were clearly a pair of deeply in love.
"Stop fooling around. No matter what, you owe me an explanation today," Ah Ban stepped forward and roared at the people from Jiannan Village.
"Ah Ban, have you no shame?" Madam Ah Man’s eyes reddened with anger. The people of Jiannan Village always kept to themselves; how could they have such an annoying neighbor.
Ah Ban laughed arrogantly, not caring about his shamelessness in the least.
"I want all the game he hunted today. I want Aier to apologize to me and compensate me with money, or else I’m not finished with the people of Jiannan Village today," Ah Ban declared, followed by several men from Yaoyun Village stepping forward, their faces menacing.
Hearing Ah Ban’s shameless demands, Aier and the rest of Jiannan Village clenched their teeth in anger, as the Miao Clan Elder’s expression turned icy.
"We won’t give you money, and we won’t give you the game; don’t even think about it," Aier said coldly.
"Alright then, if you won’t give it, don’t blame us from Yaoyun Village for being inhospitable," Ah Ban retorted, with a man from Yaoyun Village advancing, holding a Hunting Knife, his face fierce.
The people of Jiannan Village, seeing them about to start a fight, lifted their hoes and brooms, ready to clash with those from Yaoyun Village.
It seemed that Yaoyun Village’s demand for compensation from Aier was a pretense; insulting them was their real intention. Jiannan Village always strived for peaceful coexistence, but Yaoyun Village constantly bullied them—enough was enough. They were not about to take it lying down.
"Stop," the Miao Clan Elder intervened, blocking his people. If they fought today, Yaoyun Village’s people would not let this go easily, and right now, there seemed to be no good way to stop them. What to do now?
"Miao Clan Elder, let me handle this."
Qin Qin spoke slowly, unable to stand idly by as the good people of Jiannan Village were mistreated.
Mo Yunchen did not stop Qin Qin, because with him by her side, he would not let anything happen to her. She was free to do as she pleased, and he would bear the consequences.
