Entering the room, Qin Qin turned back to look at Mo Yunchen beside her, "What happened to the room?"
The originally black and white room had changed significantly. The ceiling had turned sky blue, the round crystal lamp had been replaced, the curtains had gone from dark to light, in her favorite color, and both the dressing table and the bed had been changed.
Had something happened during her absence that she wasn’t aware of?
"It was dirty, so I changed it."
When Jing Zhiyue entered their room, after dealing with Zhiyue, he had everything replaced, even though Zhiyue hadn’t touched anything, he disliked it all.
She understood what he meant; surely Zhiyue must have come in during her absence. Knowing his personality, he would have changed everything, including the flooring.
"Rest well, it’s very clean."
"Yeah, I know, you’re so clean, I trust you."
She knew he could understand her meaning.
He held her and walked to the edge of the large bed, removed her shoes for her, and lifted his head to look at her, "I never touched her, not in the slightest. I knew from the first glance she wasn’t you, because my Qinqin is one of a kind."
No matter how much that woman resembled his Qinqin in appearance and figure, he would never mistake her, and he would never fall for her.
He loved not Qinqin’s appearance, but her confident smile, her bright and captivating eyes that seemed to speak, all of her, even her flaws.
Even if her face could never be restored, he would love her for a lifetime, more than ever before.
Gently helping her to lie down on the bed, as he looked at her significantly protruding belly, a pang of distress flashed in his eyes. He kissed her forehead, "You’ve worked hard! Wife!"
His deep, affectionate voice was sexy and charming.
Exhausted, she closed her eyes. In a daze, she felt her hands and face being gently wiped, and a tender kiss landed on her forehead.
When Qin Qin woke up, it had already turned dark outside.
"Awake, are you hungry?"
Not far away, Mo Yunchen leaned on the sofa with a laptop in hand, working, the dim light of the screen casting a hazy beauty onto his handsome, delicate face.
Mo Yunchen put the laptop aside on the coffee table and walked towards Qin Qin.
"Hmm, a little hungry!"
Struggling to get up, Qin Qin was assisted by Mo Yunchen.
"I’ll have them prepare dinner right away; you should eat something."
She indeed was hungry. Carrying these two little ones, she needed to eat a lot at every meal, and even add a snack late at night to feel full.
The servants quickly brought up dinner, which included a nutritious soup specially made for Qin Qin.
Seeing two sets of bowls and chopsticks, Qin Qin glanced at Mo Yunchen beside her, "Haven’t you eaten?"
"Hmm!" He had been waiting for her.
"Mo Yunchen, don’t do this again in the future." Sitting beside him, Qin Qin spoke softly. How could she not love him when he was ?
Mo Yunchen looked at her, picking out her favorite dishes into her bowl, "Hmm!"
He answered, but whether he would do as told in the future was another matter.
After eating, Qin Qin felt somewhat full and had no sleepiness. She planned to go out for a walk to aid digestion.
Passing by the neighboring room, Mo Yunchen stopped, opened the door, and led Qin Qin into the room.
The brightly lit room presented a scene that astonished Qin Qin: a children’s room filled with a sense of whimsy, two small baby beds, and a floor covered with thick carpets. Beside the carpet, there were many educational toys. She stepped forward, touched a string of little bells on the baby bed, and the toy bells chimed crisply. Qin Qin, holding her belly, gently turned back to look tenderly at Mo Yunchen, "This is great, they will definitely love it."
There were also plenty of little clothes for both boys and girls. Picking one up, she felt excitedly moved, smiling as she stroked the tiny garments.
"Did you have someone prepare this?"
His footsteps approached from behind. Mo Yunchen stopped next to Qin Qin, watching as she picked up a tiny piece of clothing, "I prepared it myself. I arranged everything here by myself."
During the days she was gone, apart from searching for her, the moments he was home he would stay in this room, arranging their children’s room. Only by doing so could he lessen his longing for her, imagining that she was still by his side, helping him to decorate the room.
Qin Qin turned her head to look at Mo Yunchen gazing at her, her nose felt slightly sour, and her eyes reddened, she leaned her head against his sturdy chest.
"I’m sorry! It’s my fault!"
He held her in his arms and kissed her forehead, "You’re perfect!"
