"Let me see your Honorable Master?!"
The disfigured Jing Zhiyue outside looked at the two expressionless guards at the door. She had been rescued to this place for quite some time. These people kept her confined, not allowing her to leave, as if she were a prisoner. But she knew Qin Qin had returned, still adored by Mo Yunchen despite her disfigured appearance, and had even born him a son and a daughter.
She was jealous, furious, yet nobody paid attention to her!
"The Honorable Master has not summoned you. You’d better leave quickly," the man on the left said coldly.
Jing Zhiyue shuddered; the Honorable Master’s presence could indeed compare to Mo Yunchen’s, yet laced with an added touch of mystery and severity, instilling involuntary fear in her. Now she depended on this man known as the Honorable Master, and dared not act willfully.
"Let her in," a low and lazy voice came from inside the room.
"Yes!" The man opened the room door, allowing Jing Zhiyue to enter.
Jing Zhiyue tightened at the sight of the dark room. She wanted to meet this man, but now that he was willing to see her, she began to feel fear and regret.
Walking slowly towards the room, Jing Zhiyue’s hands tightened on her dress at her sides.
In the dim light, she saw the man’s tall figure standing on the balcony, his back to her, holding a glass of red wine that swirled elegantly in his hand. The wine shimmered a vivid color under the moonlight, and the man’s side profile was blurred and indistinct, preventing her from seeing clearly.
"You wanted to see me?" The man’s deep, lazy voice rose, turning his body towards Jing Zhiyue in the moonlight.
When he turned around, Jing Zhiyue instinctively lowered her head, struggling to purse her lips, "Yes! The Honorable Master, you brought me here and I haven’t been able to leave. Please let me go."
Only if she left, would she have a chance to seek revenge. If she stayed here, she wouldn’t even have the slightest opportunity.
Her face had been completely ruined by Mo Yunchen, her cheeks covered with knife scars. Being here, they only threw her ordinary medicine. Her face was rough and uneven, making her too scared to even look in a mirror.
"Leave? You think you can seek revenge with your abilities? I gave you such a good opportunity and yet you waste it. I overestimated you," the man said as he walked towards Jing Zhiyue, who involuntarily took a step back and had no choice but to look up at the man emerging from the darkness.
The dim wall light fell across the man’s face, revealing chiseled, handsome features and a daunting presence. His thin lips held a trace of a cold smile. A white shirt made him appear as dignified and refined as an aristocratic young master, but she knew this man was not as simple as he appeared.
Moreover... this man was unexpectedly...
"You... how could it be you? Weren’t you dead?"
Jing Zhiyue retreated incredulously, her steps faltering, falling to the ground, trembling all over, her hands on the carpet, too scared to move.
The man crouched down with a cold smile, his right hand lifting Jing Zhiyue’s chin, his lazy and chilling voice stating, "He is he, I am I. If I were him, do you think you’d still have the chance to be alive in this world?"
"You’re not him, but why do you look exactly like him?!"
Jing Zhiyue’s voice rose, slightly shrill. She was afraid, particularly afraid. This man looked exactly like him, and his actions towards her hinted at some purpose. Why give her the Scorching Heart Gu? If this man was that person, how could he possibly bear to see Qin Qin disfigured ?
"Want to know? Do you think you deserve it?"
The man coldly released Jing Zhiyue’s chin, his captivating eyes glancing at her with disdain, "Indeed, she is just her. Even with her appearance, you still look unpleasant to the eye. It’s better not to have the same appearance as her, so I won’t be bothered by the sight of you."
No sooner had the man finished speaking than a figure in black emerged from the darkness somewhere.
The man stood up, hands in his pockets, and turned to sit lazily on the couch in the shadows.
"No, no, what are you going to do?" Jing Zhiyue retreated fearfully as the figure in black, Han Ye, kept approaching her.
"Don’t be afraid, he’ll be very gentle," the man’s deep, lazy voice said, his legs elegantly crossed as he took a sip of the red wine in his hand.
"No, please, Honorable Master, don’t," Jing Zhiyue pleaded. She could no longer face herself. If this man took action, she didn’t know what she would become.
The man’s thin lips curved into a smile, "Such an irritating voice. Don’t dirty my place, Han Ye."
