The snow kept falling heavier, Qi Tianshang and Mo Yunchen stood opposite each other, both of them figures of remarkable stature and grace, dazzling even amidst the snowy landscape.
Han Ye stood behind Qi Tianshang, stepping forward, "Honorable Master, let me take on this task."
Qi Tianshang’s lips curved slightly, his expression indifferent, "Step aside, you are underestimating Mo Yunchen’s abilities."
This time, he could only put Mo Yunchen at a disadvantage by leveraging Mo Yunchen’s one weakness—Qin Qin.
Han Ye clenched his fists but reluctantly stepped back.
Snowflakes fell to the ground, a silver-white glow filling the space. A large snowflake descended from the sky, landing right before Qi Tianshang’s eyes.
Qi Tianshang made his move, his speed was rapid. Kicking up a layer of snow, he sent it scattering toward Mo Yunchen, clouding his vision. Qi Tianshang burst through the descending snowflakes, his right fist lunging towards Mo Yunchen’s face. Mo Yunchen lightly tapped with his right foot, moving his tall and straight figure to the right, dodging Qi Tianshang’s strike.
Qi Tianshang’s expression darkened; his right leg launched a kick at Mo Yunchen, who countered by kicking Qi Tianshang’s right leg, causing Qi Tianshang to stagger backward.
Qi Tianshang’s phoenix eyes glinted harshly and frigidly, his fist clenched at his side—Mo Yunchen was indeed Mo Yunchen!
He glanced at Qin Qin behind Mo Yunchen—her gaze fixated on Mo Yunchen, never once landing on him.
He couldn’t accept this; she was supposed to be his, only his!
Qi Tianshang felt a surge of angry emotions, the crimson and darkness in his eyes deepening. Qin Qin, sensing something amiss, whispered to Mo Yunchen, "Mo Yunchen, be careful; Qi Tianshang has Demonic Qi in him."
She was somewhat worried Qi Tianshang might hurt Mo Yunchen.
Demonic Qi? Mo Yunchen’s ink-dark eyes turned to Qi Tianshang, noticing the significant change in aura around him, a brooding, icy darkness swirling.
"Mo Yunchen, I will never let you leave here alive; she will only be mine!"
Having declared this, Qi Tianshang, like a gust of wild wind, surged toward Mo Yunchen, enveloped in a sinister dark aura.
Mo Yunchen’s feet, planted in the snow, parted slightly, his gaze sharp as he watched Qi Tianshang barrel toward him like a tempest.
Qi Tianshang leaped up, his right hand slashing at Mo Yunchen; Mo Yunchen leaned back, Qi Tianshang’s expression ice-cold as he swung his hand again.
Mo Yunchen’s face tensed, raising his long right palm to meet Qi Tianshang’s blow. A clash echoed, and an invisible, fierce current forced those around to uncomfortably retreat.
Qin Qin’s eyes widened in shock at the scene; had it not been for her Spiritual Power and martial power protecting her, she might have had to stumble back as well.
Han Ye frowned, his feet digging into the ground, while a dozen of his men retreated several steps behind him, some unable to withstand the force, vomiting blood and collapsing.
"Impossible? How could you possibly withstand that?"
After the palm exchange with Mo Yunchen, Qi Tianshang had stepped back twice, whereas Mo Yunchen only once.
Qi Tianshang whispered in disbelief. His palm force was imbued with magic power; he had thought Mo Yunchen wouldn’t be able to handle it, but he’d met his blow head-on, and seemed to be unharmed. How was this possible? Mo Yunchen was just a normal human, wasn’t he?
And furthermore... his hand felt as though it had been intimidated by a very powerful force. His Demonic Qi was meant to be chilling and icy, but when Mo Yunchen’s right palm met his, he felt a scorching, burning sensation. How could this be?
Mo Yunchen looked at his hand, where traces of the black Demonic Qi lingered, closing it into a fist, the black energy dissipating.
During the clash, he clearly felt the coldness from Qi Tianshang’s right palm, almost freezing his entire body, almost rendering him immobile. But just as he felt he couldn’t move, a searing heat seemed to emerge from deep within his body, traveling up his arm, up to his palm as he met Qi Tianshang.
Qin Qin hurried forward and grabbed Mo Yunchen’s hand, anxious. Seeing the black Qi on Qi Tianshang’s palm after he got angry, could Mo Yunchen be hurt?
She looked over Mo Yunchen; he seemed to be unharmed.
"I’m fine, don’t worry." Mo Yunchen held Qin Qin’s hand, shaking his head slightly to ease her concern.
Qin Qin lifted her head, relieved, and smiled.
Seeing this, Qi Tianshang felt the scene was unbearably irritating.
