Her ear-splitting voice gave him a headache, so Li Jingmo simply lowered his head and fiercely kissed the crying Feng Bai, "Shut up, or I’ll throw you out right now."
Feng Bai’s eyes widened as she stood in place, frightened by Li Jingmo. The kitchen was dim, lit only by the occasional light from outside. Suddenly, she felt him lean down—
He... he actually kissed her?!
"Mmph..." She pushed Li Jingmo away with force and covered her mouth, "Don’t kiss me, they all say only couples and spouses can do this. I have nothing to do with you, you’re not allowed to kiss me."
The moment he kissed her, it felt so strange. Her heart seemed to suddenly stop, not beating at all.
"Then let’s be a couple," he said.
His voice, somewhat hoarse, resonated as Feng Bai’s eyes widened. She shook her head desperately the next moment, "No, no, they say people in love can only be couples."
Li Jingmo’s face grew even darker in the shadows, emanating a cold aura that made Feng Bai shrink back, feeling suddenly cold despite the heating in the villa.
"Fine, I won’t force you, but I’m only giving you a few days to think about it. Even if you don’t agree after a few days, I’ll make you my girlfriend."
He had intentionally avoided her these past few days, and she had clearly angered him tonight. He’d forbidden her from eating, yet he’d been worried about her all along—worried whether she was going hungry or feeling unwell. He knew his feelings for Feng Bai had changed, a sensation so sudden it was hard for him to believe. "Don’t make me angry again, or I will punish you severely," he warned.
Frightened by his threatening voice, Feng Bai sobbed out, "Wu wu, Li Jingmo, you’re so scary. I don’t want to be your girlfriend. You’re also going to punish me and let me starve?"
She didn’t want to starve. Starving was too uncomfortable; she wanted to eat something delicious.
"It’s not starvation, but it’s something more uncomfortable than that," he said with a low, ambiguous tone in the dark.
Feng Bai looked at him, puzzled, "Not starving? That’s good. I don’t want to starve."
As she spoke, her stomach growled again, and Feng Bai covered it.
In the darkness, the corners of Li Jingmo’s lips lifted slightly. He walked over and opened the kitchen door, watching her awkwardly cover her belly and look at him with innocent, pitiful eyes and a beautiful face that reminded him of an adorable bunny—he was sorely tempted to ravage her, but it wasn’t the right time; he was afraid of scaring her.
Feng Bai looked at Li Jingmo nodding, her stomach continuously grumbling. Of course, she was hungry.
"What would you like to eat?"
Li Jingmo approached Feng Bai and opened the refrigerator in front of her.
"You’re going to cook for me?"
Feng Bai’s eyes, like autumn waters, widened, shining bright.
Li Jingmo gripped the refrigerator door, a glint in his eyes, "You wish. I only cook for my girlfriend."
Cook for his girlfriend? Feng Bai shook her head, disheartened. She had no relationship with him; he wouldn’t cook for her.
"Do you know the benefits of being my girlfriend?"
Feng Bai looked at him, bewildered. Why was he telling her all this? She wasn’t his girlfriend.
"There will be endless delicious food, countless beautiful clothes, and no one will dare to bully her. If someone is not afraid of death and bullies her, I’ll help her bully them back. When she’s unhappy, I’ll make her happy. When she’s happy, I’ll share her joy."
"Most importantly, she’ll enjoy my unparalleled love. I will make delicious food for her and accompany her to eat the tastiest things in the world."
"In short, I guarantee she will be the happiest woman, having whatever she wants."
She likes eating, doesn’t she? He’ll seduce her with food.
Feng Bai’s eyes sparkled as she looked at Li Jingmo, wringing her hands together. What should she do? She felt her heart stir; she really wanted to eat.
Watching her slightly moved expression, Li Jingmo’s lips curled sinisterly. He took out a handful of noodles and tomato eggs from the fridge, went into the kitchen, and started boiling water for the noodles.
Feng Bai stood still, gazing at his tall and broad figure, a flash of conflict in her beautiful eyes.
"Li Jingmo, you can cook?"
Li Jingmo turned and glanced at her, "Yes."
He had always cooked for himself while studying abroad as he couldn’t adapt to the local food.
