Fu Boyann looked toward the girl approaching him, a gentle smile appearing on his refined face, "Shushu, you’re here to see Meimei, aren’t you?"
Yuan Shuer nodded slightly, her beautiful face stealthily fixed on Fu Boyann. She was the daughter of the Yuan Family, as well as a good friend of Fu Limei.
Actually, she had wanted to come see Brother Boyan, but she was too shy, so she always used the excuse of looking for Limei to sneak glances at him.
"Then come in." Fu Boyann said with a gentle smile, walking ahead.
Yuan Shuer watched his retreating figure with infatuation. She had fallen for Fu Boyann since she was very young, and she kept this affection deep within her heart; no one knew.
Yuan Shuer averted her gaze and hurriedly followed, keeping a single step behind Fu Boyann.
Inside the Fu Family’s living room, Fu Limei extended her hand for Su Qing to examine her wound, while Fu Lixin stood by anxiously.
"It’s healing well. Don’t get it wet. In a couple of days, once it scabs over, I’ll apply some more ointment for you."
Su Qing spoke softly, and Fu Limei nodded quickly, her eyes fixed on Su Qing, "Can it really heal completely?"
Su Qing nodded, and Fu Limei beamed with joy, "Thank you, Su Qing, I really appreciate it so much."
Fu Lixin’s tight heart relaxed.
Yuan Shuer had just entered the living room when she saw this scene. Her expression shifted slightly as she stared at Fu Limei who was gripping Su Qing’s hand. Was this the first time she’d seen the haughty and arrogant Fu Limei being so friendly to someone she didn’t know?
Fu Boyann approached with a warm smile. Fu Limei and Fu Lixin turned their heads to look, "Brother, you’re back."
"Shushu, why are you here? And you didn’t even give me a call?"
Fu Limei stood up happily and walked toward Luo Shuer.
Yuan Shuer saw the closely stitched wound on Fu Limei’s hand, "What happened?"
Fu Limei said nonchalantly, "I accidentally got cut last time and needed a few stitches, it’s nothing serious."
"What? How can this not be serious?"
For Fu Limei, who was especially concerned about her appearance, to declare it insignificant, Yuan Shuer was somewhat dumbfounded.
"Yeah, Su Qing can heal it, so it’s not a big deal. Don’t worry."
Fu Limei thought Yuan Shuer was worried about her, unaware that Yuan Shuer was simply too taken aback.
"Really? Who is Su Qing, to be so amazing?"
Yuan Shuer glanced at the girl in her twenties sitting next to Fu Lixin. Could it be her? Was Fu Limei joking? She could heal a stitched wound?
Yuan Shuer was pondering when she suddenly saw Fu Boyann walking toward Su Qing and talking with her, his tender face smiling. Yuan Shuer’s expression tightened, and her heart sank.
"It’s the one sitting next to my sister. I’ll introduce you later."
Fu Limei led Yuan Shuer inside, while Yuan Shuer tightly grasped Fu Limei’s hand, "Wait, Meimei, do you really trust that a stranger can heal your hand? How can you believe that such a young girl can cure your hand?"
"Of course I trust her, Su Qing is very capable. You’ll understand once you meet her."
Fu Limei nodded and smiled at Yuan Shuer.
Seeing her so trusting, Yuan Shuer felt a bitter taste in her heart. She was a year older than Fu Limei and had always thought that Fu Limei listened to her. But now, Fu Limei would rather trust a stranger than believe her. And Brother Boyan was talking and smiling so tenderly with that woman. Jealousy welled up inside her.
Yuan Shuer was led by Fu Limei to sit down, her expression somber.
Fu Boyann exchanged a few words with Su Qing, then stood up and headed to his room.
Yuan Shuer watched as Fu Boyann didn’t even speak a word to her but talked with the woman named Su Qing. Her gaze turned somewhat coldly toward Su Qing.
Su Qing felt a chill in the gaze upon her and looked over, slightly startled.
She seemed not to know her, so why was she looking at her with such a cold gaze?
"You guys chat for a bit, I’ll go to the kitchen and cut some fruit to bring over."
Fu Lixin said with a smile, getting up and heading to the kitchen.
Fu Limei held Yuan Shuer’s hand excitedly and introduced her, "Shushu, this is Su Qing, an incredibly skilled doctor."
After speaking, she turned to Su Qing and introduced Yuan Shuer, "Su Qing, this is Yuan Shuer, my good friend and sister."
Su Qing nodded. Yuan Shuer’s hand tightened on her purse, and she raised a faint smile, looking at Su Qing, who wore glasses, "Miss Su, are you wearing such heavy glasses because your eyes are bad? Do you need me to find a better doctor for you to perform surgery?"
Su Qing’s lips curled in a smile, a chilly glint in her beautiful eyes behind the black-framed glasses, "No need, Miss Yuan, my eyes are quite fine."
