What exactly was the reason? Who really was Qin Qin from Heavenly Medicine Clinic, and why did her medicines have a ninety percent similarity to those in her space?
Did she have some connection with the woman called Qin Qin, or... did she need to find out more about who Qin Qin really was?
She asked around for more information about Qin Qin, but Doctor Zhao knew very little, and so she obtained only a limited amount of information—that Qin Qin was skilled in medicine and fortune-telling.
Back at the apartment, Su Qing sat on the living room couch, lost in thought.
When Feng Bai returned from Top-Grade Heavenly Fragrance, she saw Su Qing sitting on the couch, her gaze deep in contemplation.
"Su Qing, what’s wrong?"
Feng Bai rushed forward, looking at Su Qing with concern.
Coming back to her senses, Su Qing shook her head and smiled at Feng Bai, "Off work? How was your day?"
At the mention of this, Feng Bai’s eyes lit up, and she began telling Su Qing about the interesting things that had happened at Top-Grade Heavenly Fragrance recently and how much she had learned.
Su Qing listened quietly, until Feng Bai finished talking and prepared to return to her room to wash up.
Su Qing went back to her room as well, and after freshening up, she returned to bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Who was Qin Qin really? Did she have any relation to herself, and what did she look like?
From the information she had, Qin Qin had married Yunchen from Mo Corporation in Jingdu City. Since she couldn’t find much at Heavenly Medicine Clinic, should she go to Qin Qin’s family home to look for photos or other items that might reveal something? Could those lead her to know whether there was any connection between them? They both practiced medicine and fortune-telling; could it be they came from the same place, or could it be... she was Qin Qin?!
The thought sent a shiver through Su Qing, and she scoffed at herself. What was she thinking, to even consider herself as Qin Qin! Whether she was Qin Qin was something she could neither confirm nor determine at the moment, nor could she know if there was any relation to her. She could only look for an opportunity to visit Qin Qin’s home.
The next day, Su Qing waited for Feng Bai to leave before following the direction towards Heavenly Medicine Clinic. When Doctor Zhao saw Su Qing, he greeted her with a smile and led her to Doctor Lee’s room. They had tidied up Doctor Lee’s room for her the previous day, bringing in some new items, and today Su Qing officially began working at Heavenly Medicine Clinic.
In the morning, many patients came to see Doctor Zhao and the other two doctors, Doctor Xiao and Doctor Liu, while Su Qing had no patients because those who did come would leave upon seeing a woman in her early twenties, preferring to seek Doctor Zhao and the others instead. Even when Doctor Zhao told the patients that Su Qing was a very good doctor, few believed it, allowing Su Qing to spend a leisurely morning. Her calm and serene demeanor surprised the other employees of Heavenly Medicine Clinic.
It was the first time they saw a doctor with such a peaceful attitude, not worried about whether patients came or not.
"Doctor, doctor, please take a look at my son quickly."
Su Qing was sitting in her room reading when a young woman’s voice came from outside, followed by a young man entering with a boy about seven or eight years old wrapped in his arms. The boy was clutching his throat as if in great pain. The man, crying, rushed in with the boy while the woman pulled at the receptionist Anzi’s hand, "Please, could you find a doctor to see my son? He’s got a fish bone stuck."
They were residents nearby and had been dining at home when their son accidentally swallowed a fish bone. In a panic, the couple hurried to Heavenly Medicine Clinic with their son.
Anzi winced as the woman pulled her hand, and looking at the child in the man’s arms, said, "Doctor Zhao and the others are all currently with patients; how about I take you to the room of our new doctor, Su Qing?"
The woman and man nodded hastily and rushed into Su Qing’s room with their son for treatment. When they pushed open the door, their expressions changed slightly. Could such a young doctor save their son?
"Could we switch to another doctor, maybe have Doctor Zhao take a look at my son, please?" The woman was reluctant to have Su Qing examine her son. How could a girl in her early twenties possibly treat her son?
The man, holding his son, was also hesitant. With his son in this condition, what if this young girl’s medical skills weren’t proficient and she hurt his son or made him worse? What then?
Thinking this over, the couple decided to walk out.
