Qi Tianshang left a remark and walked forward.
Han Xing stiffened on the spot; this was the Honorable Master warning him.
"Qinqin, may I come in?"
Qin Qin, inside the room, gazed outside as Qi Tianshang’s gentle voice came from beyond the door.
She shifted her gaze toward the door. The doorknob turned, Qi Tianshang entered, his handsome face breaking into a smile, "Let’s go out and have a meal."
Qin Qin’s eyes followed Qi Tianshang, not speaking, and walked out of the room with him.
At the large dining table, the two sat across from each other. Qi Tianshang tenderly picked some dishes for Qin Qin, but looking at the plate in front of her, she didn’t reach for any, "That’s enough, I have already eaten."
"Eat a little more, you’ve lost weight."
Qi Tianshang seemed not to notice that Qin Qin wasn’t eating the food he served her. He kept adding more to her plate while saying, "After the meal, I can walk with you. I have had everything in the room bought and put in place. You can rest well if you get tired later."
"Qi Tianshang, I want to go back in a while."
Even though Qi Tianshang was her fiancé, she didn’t want to stay with him. She needed to think things through, sort them out.
Initially, she wanted to find him, but now that she had, there was no joy in her heart; instead, there was a sense of oppression, a desire to stay far away from him.
She couldn’t quite explain her own feelings, but she just didn’t want to stay with him.
Qi Tianshang put his chopsticks down, his expression fading, "Why? You and I are engaged. I know you haven’t adapted to me yet, but I don’t want you to avoid me, do you understand? You know how overjoyed I was to find you."
He was telling the truth. The moment he saw her, he almost couldn’t control himself. Fortunately, his self-discipline was strong. He had staged a reunion scene, saved her, and hopefully improved her impression of him.
Qi Tianshang closed his eyes in distress, his hand resting on the table clenched slightly, "Alright, I’ll give you a few days to adapt, Qinqin. I hope that now in your heart, you treat me as your fiancé."
Qin Qin looked at Qi Tianshang and remained silent. She didn’t know what to say because she couldn’t yet treat Qi Tianshang as her fiancé in her heart. Seeing him didn’t bring any joy or excitement, not like when facing Mo Yunchen.
How could she think of him again?
After the meal, Qin Qin intended to leave, but Qi Tianshang grabbed her hand, wanting to take a walk with her.
"Stay a little longer."
He looked pleadingly at her. Qin Qin pursed her lips and nodded.
Qi Tianshang led Qin Qin to the back garden. As they strolled, her eyes landed on a swath of brightly-colored Flower of The Other Shore in the distance. She stopped, her expression shifting slightly, a wave of discomfort surging within her.
Seeing her frown, Qi Tianshang looked toward the vibrant red flowers, "What’s wrong?"
Qin Qin shook her head, "Nothing specific, only that those flowers feel familiar, yet they make me uncomfortable."
She didn’t know why, but the sight of the Flower of The Other Shore made her particularly uncomfortable.
"If it makes you uncomfortable, then I’ll have someone remove them."
It appeared that, for things that left a deep impression, Qin Qin’s memory would react. He just didn’t know how she would react upon seeing Mo Yunchen.
"No need, it’s nothing serious."
Qin Qin raised her head to glance at the sky, noticing that it had grown dark, the heavy clouds suggesting imminent rain.
"It’s going to rain, I should go back."
She looked at him. Qi Tianshang’s phoenix eyes were intently fixed on her, "Qinqin, would you please stay?"
Made uncomfortable by his intense gaze, Qin Qin stepped back, "Qi Tianshang, don’t push me."
"Alright, I won’t push you."
In the end, he relented, knowing that with her temperament, if he pressed too hard, it would only backfire. It would be better to give her time to think. After all, in her heart, he was her fiancé now. He would give her a few days, and then he intended to quickly marry her and leave this place. Even if she remembered everything later, she would already be with him and wouldn’t leave him to go back to Mo Yunchen.
"Qi Tianshang, I want to ask you, do I have any family?"
Since Qi Tianshang was her fiancé, he should know everything about her, such as her family.
Qin Qin’s family consisted of Qin An, Mo Yunchen, and the two little ones.
"No, you only have me. Your family left you a long time ago. After that, you met me, and we fell in love, so you only have me."
