Mage Manual Chapter 452

She glanced at Sonia, "I thought by the time I arrived, you’d be naked or at least down to your underwear."

"What are you really here for? To save me, or to watch me be humiliated?"

"It’s not a multiple-choice question." Professor Trozan looked around, "I violated the ’Jiale City Airspace Regulations’ to get here. You’re not calling me out to sightsee at Truth University, are you?"

"That’s exactly it. These individuals were trying to stop me from entering the ’Time Training Room.’ They asked me not to make it difficult for them, so I called you over, Professor." Sonia said with a shrug, "You were the one who helped me apply for the ’Time Training Room.’ Them not letting me in isn’t a slap to my face; it’s a slap to your heart-shaped butt!"

Professor Trozan glared fiercely at his student and adjusted the hem of his jacket before turning to the young assistant.

"Professor Trozan, Ms. Sevi, this was really just a misunder—"

As Sonia once again summoned the ’Sincerity’ Technique Spirit, the young assistant hesitated for a moment and couldn’t continue.

"I’m lying to you. ’Sincerity’ doesn’t detect lies." Sonia smiled, "So you actually could lie in front of a Holy Sanctuary Mage. Don’t be shy."

The young assistant, head bowed low and sighing, said, "I promise there won’t be a second mistake."

"You admit your mistake just because I am here? I’m not the ’Apology’ Technique Spirit; I don’t have such abilities." Professor Trozan raised an eyebrow, "Tell me, who is targeting my student."

"Professor, have you considered whether you might have offended someone?"

Professor Trozan thought for a moment and began counting on his fingers, "One, two, three, four, five..."

"Forget I asked." Sonia walked into the grey-white building, "From here on, I’ll leave it to you, Professor. I’m heading inside to train; I’ve already wasted 15 minutes... Professor, I don’t believe a single punctuation mark of his promise. Can you assure me I won’t encounter this kind of unprovoked malice again?"

"Who’s the professor here, you or me? I should be the one assuring you?" Professor Trozan snorted.

Sonia shrugged and turned to leave when she heard Professor Trozan remark, "Next time just call me directly; no need to scream so pitifully."

Sonia knew that this time Professor Trozan would make a big fuss that would trouble everyone involved, embarrassing even Truth University!

And this was exactly the outcome she desired.

I can deal with your disgust, but don’t think you will have it easy!

After all, even if Professor Trozan scolded her when she got back, they would be the ones losing their bonuses!

Entering the ’Time Training Room,’ which was divided into sections for strength, agility, and intelligence, Sonia had booked the strength section. As soon as she stepped in, her heart began pounding violently, nearly bringing her to her knees as the gravity intensified suddenly.

’Time Training Room’ Level 1, acceleration of time by 1.1 times, increase of gravity also by 1.1 times.

As the most sought-after training measure at Truth University, the ’Time Training Room’ was undoubtedly powerful. The enhanced gravity of 1.1 times effectively trained every part of a mage’s body, including internal organs, improving the training efficiency of mages who belonged to the Weak Faction by at least 25%; an acceleration of time by 1.1 times, which did not speed up real time but the thinking time of the mage.

In Sonia’s perception, although her thinking had accelerated, her body had not changed and felt even slower due to the increased gravity. If she could endure this condition to keep training, her body and even her spirit would significantly strengthen, breaking limits in insight and responsiveness.

The training room provided an automatically repairing armor. Sonia changed into her training attire and withdrew a wooden sword, beginning her swordsmanship training. But only ten minutes into her session, her breathing became erratic, and her posture started to deform.

Compared to mages who’d been well-fed and well-exercised from a young age, Sonia’s foundation was terribly weak. Not to even mention comparing her with nobles like Felix and Ingrid, even compared to peers like Adelle and Lois, Sonia was far behind.

As a child, her intake of meat, eggs, and dairy was insufficient, and catching up later in life proved difficult. The Observer’s ’forced training’ had allowed Sonia to quickly catch up with formal Sword Masters but had also drained her body’s potential.

Since ordinary training could no longer strengthen her body, Sonia had applied to use the ’Time Training Room.’ Her body could hardly squeeze out any more potential, so she would quickly hit her limits.

But Sonia was prepared.

’Sword Body’ Technique Spirit!

Sonia’s skin, organs, tissues, and muscles were all coated with a thin layer of Sword Light. With the slightest movement, Sonia felt her whole body pricked painfully by the Sword Light.

Being a combination of Sword Technique Faction and Weak Faction, ’Sword Body’ could create Sword Light that could be absorbed by the mage. Once enough Sword Light was absorbed, the mage’s body could transform into an exceptional ’Sword Body.’

However, there were two major drawbacks to the ’Sword Body’ Technique Spirit: the absorption efficiency of Sword Light was incredibly low, and it could only be gradually absorbed during exercises when the mage’s body was at its weakest to substitute for physical potential; also, when Sword Light was adhered, every minute movement caused excruciating pain to the nerves.

Thus, even Sword Masters rarely used ’Sword Body’ to enhance themselves, unless they had some Technique Spirit that offered immunity to pain. Although Sonia didn’t possess a pain-blocking Technique Spirit, she had her ways.

After many days of forced training, Sonia discovered not only could she perform forced training ahead of schedule to free up her evening training time, but she could also break the two-hour session of forced training into segments for use.
