Mage Manual Chapter 968

Capítulo 968: Chapter 720: A Better Choice (Part 2)

“Moreover, their efforts were not in vain. If you hadn’t become the Dream Master, this migration plan would have been out of the question,” Ash said. “No one knows when they might become the protagonist appointed by Fate.”

Ash reached out his hand to her, “Let’s go back and change this tragedy.”

Weiser looked at him calmly, remained silent for a long time, and gradually showed a helpless smile at the corner of her mouth, reaching out her hand—

“I’m not you. I don’t have an excess of a sense of justice, nor am I interested in seeing people I don’t know applause for me.” Weiser stood up and said, “If you want to be the Savior, go ahead, since you’re going back to the Kingdom of Gospel anyway. Consider it as bringing some population benefits back to your Empress.”

Ash was a bit surprised and confused, he asked, “Then what about you? Won’t you leave?”

“Why should I leave?” Weiser walked to the shallow water, letting the sea water submerge her calves, “Whether or not there’s a Sky Gate passage, what I need to do hasn’t changed.”

Ash watched her back and asked, “Do you still insist on destroying Senluo? Staying here to perish with Senluo?”

“Yes, I won’t leave.” Weiser shrugged, “I’ve been plotting this for more than ten years; the average life expectancy of Senluoians is only 25 years. This has spanned my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. It is my life… If I abandon it, I deny my life.”

“Senluoians are religious fanatics; I’m no exception.” She lifted her head and closed her eyes, letting her face feel the gentle sea breeze, “Destroying Senluo is my faith.”

Ash shook his head, “But now there’s a Sky Gate passage, just letting Senluo self-destruct is enough, there’s no need…”

“In Senluo, faith has always been a necessity of life,” Weiser said, “Moreover, do you have to make me spell it out—I enjoy this job.”

“In the beginning, I might have been rushing to save people, feeling joy in rescuing Life. But later, I realized what truly ignited my passion was this act of destroying the world.”

“I want to see the grandeur of the world’s destruction, to witness the ruins after its annihilation, to listen to the earth’s wails, to observe the sky’s scars, to feel the wind’s escape, to see the sea part.” Weiser glanced at Ash: “Just like some mages would fly towards the sun until they burn, some mages would consider slaying the White Bull to shake the Void Realm, some mages would recklessly modify themselves as test subjects…”

“So there will also be some Life, born for destruction.”

Ash asked, “Even if it means dying?”

“I’m not the Mercury Wooden Horse, I’m a normal Senluoan.” Weiser said, “Senluoians are not afraid of death. Moreover…”

“Reality is only an instant illusion; the Void Realm is the eternal future.” She said, “I’ve already proven the first part, and it’s time to verify the latter.”

Reality is only an instant illusion; the Void Realm is the eternal future.

Ash was silent for a moment and said, “I thought you operated from a sense of redemption, wanting to repay your past actions with death.”

“If thinking that way can leave a good impression on you, then think so.” Weiser said, “But is there not a possibility—that as a Dream Master, I simply can’t leave this layer?”

“This is the starting point of the dream, and also my cage.” Weiser raised her hands in a supporting gesture, “Once I completely take over the Senluo dreamscape, I will support the entire Senluo dreamscape here until it completely collapses and turns into ruins.”

“Whether the Senluoians can be saved or not, my Fate has already been destined.” Weiser lowered her hands and said, “But, thank you. Your words meant a lot to me.”

Ash sighed, “Isn’t there any way?”

“It’s already remarkable for mortals to untie one dead knot, don’t think of challenging a second one.” Weiser said, “Oh, by the way, if you want to save people, don’t go around telling them about me; continue with the old way of promoting me.”

“The world is going to end, it’s Silver Lamp’s doing.” Weiser said with a sly smile, “I guarantee saying this will make them 50% more convinced of the apocalypse, and they’ll travel 20% faster.”

“Indeed.” Ash smiled and shook his head, “Your infamy is known from the Four Pillars God Sect to the Transcend Sect.”

“Isn’t there always a Demon King in stories who wants to Destroy the World for no apparent reason? Though it’s a cliché, it’s the easiest story to believe.” Weiser said, “Since there are people who want to be the Savior, then there must be someone willing to be the Demon King, and I was already the Demon King.”

She pointed behind Ash, and a Fog Gate quietly formed.

“Go ahead.” Weiser said, “Next time we meet, it will be in the eternal Void Realm.”

Ash said, “Generally speaking, that would be called a farewell.”

“But I consider it a reunion.” Weiser replied, “By then, there will be no illusion.”

After saying this, Weiser turned her head and gazed at her reflection in the sea. She suddenly thought of something: Should she tell him that Silver Lamp is actually Weiser? After all, carrying such a secret to the grave is meaningless, not even worth being called a burial accompaniment.

Ash would certainly realize that Weiser had been the mole from the start, leading him to act in reality through rhetoric in the Void Realm. But at this point, Weiser didn’t care whether Ash would dislike her even more. Read complete versıon only at 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩

Yet even if she didn’t say, he would eventually find out. With this thought, it was better not to say—Weiser had already sabotaged his chance to solve the mystery once in the Dead City, this time let him fully enjoy the joy of discovering the truth.

Thinking of this, Weiser suddenly felt strange and turned around to find that Ash hadn’t left.

However, Ash wasn’t looking at her; he was staring blankly at the sea behind her.

Weiser turned her head to look as well and froze.

On the vast azure sea, a dilapidated ship was sailing with the storm. Three figures stood on its tallest mast.

As it neared the beach, the ship began to disintegrate. The three on the mast remained motionless, and as the ship broke apart, delivering them right to the edge of the beach, they took a step forward onto the soft sand.

Throughout this process, Ash and Weiser had unconsciously stood together, warily watching these three new arrivals.

The first to speak was a handsome man wearing a white feathered coat and white top hat: “Nice to meet you, I’m Whitedove.”

Another, a red-haired cat-eared girl in a white shirt and black suspender skirt, waved enthusiastically, laughing, “Hello, I’m Fire Cat!”

A long-legged, blue-haired woman clad in a white feathered garment said coldly, “Blue Bird.”
