Lu Jingli was caught unawares. He froze and stared at the icy cold stare coming from Theresa Mo.
He didn't know maybe he should Stand up or remain seated. He didn't expect that she would begin with him on that note.
" Humm..mm sorry if I was rude" Lu Jingli found himself stammering out an apology. He looked flushed and embarrassed while Theresa's eyes were spitting fire.
"You are not just being rude, you are displaying uncultured familiarity!" Theresa Mo snapped at him.
Lu Jingli found no word to debunk her claim. He didn't say anything else until Theresa Mo broke the silence.
" How may I help you Lu Jingli?" Theresa Mo demanded. She stared at him with eyes that depict her level of hatred and unhappiness towards him.
Lu Jingli felt as if a cold shiver ran through his spine. He suddenly became uncomfortable with Theresa's stare he has suddenly lost his ability to dialogue with her.
He raised his head to glance at her but her cold stare make him dumb. He didn't know what or how to answer her question.
Isn't she the same Theresa Mo he had married a few years ago? Such a fragile girl who hardly can step on an ant.
When did she have this domineering aura? She looked different from the woman she used to be. How can someone still possess the same look, the same appearance but a different personality?
"Penny for your thoughts?" Theresa Mo interrupted the confusion going on in Lu Jingli's mind.
Putting his timidity aside, Lu Jingli braced himself to talk. Theresa Mo was still his ex-wife after all and intends to make her his legal wife again.
" I have been trying to reach you for days, Theresa, but you haven't been answering your phone. I sent you messages as well but you neither reply nor do what the content of the message says" Lu Jingli explained.
Theresa Mo remained expressionless. " I didn't answer your calls, yes. I don't have any reason why I should be answering your call.
Secondly, those text messages you sent, as they popped up on my phone, immediately deleted them. I was going to ask you not to bother me for any reason whatsoever" Theresa Mo replied flippantly.
Lu Jingli squinted. He thought as much, she still has grudges against him. Otherwise, how can these answers of hers be justifiable?
" I had already told you that Tiana Mo and I are getting divorced soon the last time we talked. I was going to see you and discuss that with you" Lu Jingli explained.
Theresa Mo asked if they had finally been divorced and Lu Jingli said yes, thinking the news of it would sweeten Theresa's belly.
"Oh! That is unfortunate for you guys," Theresa Mo said mockingly. She didn't know that the partners in a conspiracy against her were going to get divorced so soon.
Didn't they get married as soon as she signed the divorce papers with Lu Jingli? She thought they were going to love each other forever and die together.
It is not yet five years, and they are apart, their marriage crumbling and turned upside down. They didn't have any child through the years of their surface-rooted love and marriage.
"On the contrary, it's a fortunate thing for you and me. We can now get married and live together with our kids. Like I said before, I will be their father legally and I will raise them without them knowing anything about our past" Lu Jingli explained excitedly and smiled.
Theresa Mo just stared at the idiot sitting in front of her. How can someone be so shallow-minded? He has no brain that he could say such words and feel excited about it.
He really must have thought she would return to him after the sugar-coated persuasion he had with her the last time they met.
Anyways, he would be disappointed by her. All his expectations would be dashed and she would make him think straight for the first time in his miserable life.
"If I get you correctly, you want us, I mean you and I to get married now after you have been divorced with Tiana Mo my sister right?
And my kids, you are willing to accept me and the kids and be their father. Raise them as your own and we will live happily ever after" Theresa Mo rephrased his words.
Lu Jingli smiled happily and said exactly. Theresa Mo had accurately gotten what he was trying to explain to her. He had always known her to be intelligent and smart.
Theresa Mo stared at him sprouting his idiocy. She hissed between gritted teeth and snorted.
"I see," Theresa Mo said loudly and sat with her back relaxed on her chair, and rolled the pen in her hand.
" So what do you say, sweetheart?" Lu Jingli said, staring at Theresa Mo with a smile and winking at her.
Theresa's displeasure was written all over her face. Sweetheart? She has now become a sweetheart to Lu Jingli all of a sudden?
Such a mean man that has no conscience. How can you be married to the elder sister, divorce her and marry the younger sister?
After a few years, you divorce the younger and return to marry the elder sister you once divorced? How can someone's thinking be so streamlined?
"You are an idiot Lu Jingli!" Theresa Mo bellowed.
