The TV in the café broadcasted the news, filling the room with a calm hum of background noise.
"Finn, five years have passed since the Blip happened. How do you feel about it?"
Receptionist Johnsen withdrew his gaze from the screen and looked at the young man sitting at the opposite table.
His light brown hair framed his thoughtful face, one that seemed far too calm for someone who had just experienced such a chaotic world.
"It's... surreal. Five years of change feel like the blink of an eye to me..."
Finn put down his coffee cup after hearing Johnsen's question. He paused for a moment, lost in thought, before responding, "It's just like waking up from a dream."
The second half of his response reflected Finn's true feelings.
Everything truly felt like a dream to him—because he wasn't from this world. He was a transmigrater.

He didn't want to be one of Wanda's puppets. Those under her control lived in constant agony, their minds warped and their lives drained by the effects of Chaos Magic.
Fortunately, the system had granted Finn a novice reward for self-defense:

And any exposure meant the failure of his mission.

Her emotional turmoil would eventually lead her to Westview Town, the place where Vision had planned to build a home for them.
The house hadn't been completed—it was nothing more than an empty plot of land.
Finn decided to wait.
He couldn't risk using psychic magic to find her. Wanda's mastery of Chaos Magic meant she'd sense any attempt at invading her mind. That would only spell disaster.

Westview Town was a lot bigger than most small towns. It was practically a small city, complete with modern amenities.
Finn walked up the stairs and ran into one of his tenants, Josh—a lanky young man with a nervous energy about him.
Josh waved a small backpack in Finn's direction. "Hey, Finn! I'll have the rent ready later today. Just need to hit the bank real quick."
"Sure, but don't take too long."
After all, collecting rent was the only thing Finn had to do while lying low. He owned the apartment building—an inheritance he couldn't explain but didn't question.
Back in his apartment on the top floor, Finn collapsed onto his sofa and opened his phone to scroll through the news.

Finn couldn't find any news about Peter Parker or the infamous Night Monkey suit. That meant the timeline hadn't reached Spider-Man: Far From Home yet.
According to the events of the MCU, Peter's trip to Venice and his encounter with Mysterio would happen about eight or nine months after Endgame.
"Looks like we're getting close to the 'three Spider-Men in one frame' moment," Finn mused, taking a sip of his Coke.
Suddenly, there was a soft knock at the door.
Finn glanced at his watch. Only ten minutes had passed since Josh left.
"Josh? Back so soon?"
But something about the knock felt... different. Light. Hesitant.
"Wait a sec, I'm coming!" Finn called out as he walked toward the door.
When he opened it, he froze.
Standing there was a stunning woman with long, dark hair cascading over her shoulders.
She wore a red coat, and her clear eyes reflected deep melancholy. Her fair skin seemed almost ethereal, and her lips—rosy and delicate—formed a gentle smile.
"Hi," she said softly. "I'm Wanda Maximoff. Is there any room available?"
Finn stared at her, unable to form a response.
Wanda tilted her head slightly, her expression curious yet weary. "Hello? Is something wrong?"
Finn blinked, snapping himself out of his daze.
"N-No, not at all. Please, come in."
