Marvel : I'm in Westview Town Chapter 245

The next day.

It had been a full month since the last time.

During this period, Finn and the others had arrived directly in Westview and spent their days wandering and enjoying themselves.

Of course, the core matters still demanded focus—practicing magic, experimenting with creation spells, and studying the Darkhold.

These were crucial issues—nothing frivolous about them.

And most importantly, everything was developing in a promising direction, with no signs of danger or instability.

"Finn, I can clearly feel the benefits the Darkhold has brought. There’s a power surging inside me—gathering, swelling—as if it’s about to explode at any moment, but without the slightest discomfort."

The witch’s voice was laced with awe. This kind of sensation was rare, almost miraculous. She couldn’t regulate her energy flow with ease—like something deep within her was on the verge of erupting.

What exactly was happening?

"In a situation like that, overall it’s pretty good," Finn replied calmly, his tone deliberate. "If your strength doesn’t evolve soon, that potential buildup could become dangerous."

There was a gleam in Finn’s eyes, one that betrayed his deep interest. He was no stranger to power—especially the kind that simmered beneath the surface like this.

After all, the witch’s raw power was unmistakable. No matter how one viewed it, she was strong. And Finn was genuinely pleased by that.

"Finn is right. When the time comes, your power will elevate—shouldn’t that make you happy?" the Dark Witch teased, snickering as she nudged the other woman without a shred of concern over her rising strength.

"Of course I’m happy! Who said I wasn’t?" The witch shot back, glaring at her, her expression flaring with annoyance, refusing to let the Dark Witch get the upper hand.

That’s why she followed up with a pointed remark.

"Alright, alright, as long as you’re happy."

The Dark Witch waved it off casually. She had no interest in arguing—not now. There were more important things to focus on, and this training didn’t need to be bogged down by emotional distractions.

And besides, they all wanted to enjoy whatever peace they could find in the present moment.

"Let’s take a walk," Finn suggested. "We’ve spent so much time fighting and training lately. We need moments like this—to relax. Without rest, facing those factions again will be even harder."

His smile was faint but sincere. He didn’t press the point. He knew all too well what their next steps would demand.

Without proper rest, even the strongest mind could become clouded, unfocused.

"That’s true. Let’s go, now," the witch agreed quickly. She took Finn’s hand without hesitation, pulling him along as she moved forward, leaving the Dark Witch behind.

"I swear, you must be tired of living."

The Dark Witch’s voice rose, laced with mock anger. Being ignored again—consistently—was getting on her nerves. This was no longer just casual teasing; it was bordering on insult.

Without another word, she rushed after the witch and struck with a barrage of tickles, her hands roaming relentlessly.

The witch shrieked with laughter, trying to hold back, but it was impossible. Soon, she was retaliating with equal intensity, launching her own chaotic offensive.

"Those two..." Finn muttered, shaking his head at the playful chaos.

Still, he didn’t stop them.

This kind of thing was good for all of them. Joy like this wasn’t just a luxury—it was necessary. Especially after everything they had endured.

Right now, in Westview, they could finally breathe. Even if only for a moment, Finn could forget about the demon factions, the looming threats, and the web of supernatural powers vying for control.

His mind felt clear. No burdens. No distractions.

And because of that, he was truly, deeply happy.

If he allowed himself to dwell on the heavier matters, it would only wear him down. There would be time for that later.

But not today.

"I still need to finish crafting those new creation spells," Finn thought, his gaze growing distant. "Without them, if the factions make a move, I could be in serious danger... and so could they."

The thought refocused him. A clear goal took shape in his mind: to push his strength as far as it could go, and do it fast.

Aside from the energy boosts he’d received from the angelic faction earlier, something else was happening—perhaps an aftereffect of their energy. His strength had climbed steadily, no doubt about it.

"Finn, don’t just stand there! Hurry up!" the witch called, waving at him energetically from farther ahead.

She was practically shouting his name with joy, her voice echoing across the streets of Westview. There was a lightness in her that hadn’t been there in weeks—maybe months.

They had found genuine happiness here. No tension. No conflict.

And because of that, she was glowing.

"Alright, alright, I’m coming. You two go on ahead."

Finn’s voice was warm. He shook his head, a slight smile tugging at his lips, and then he quickened his pace to catch up with them.

If he didn’t move fast, the two women would vanish into the distance—and with them, his moment of peace.

Time drifted by quietly, almost unnoticed.

The entire afternoon passed in laughter and playful exploration as the trio made their way through the small town.

They wandered until evening, and for once, allowed themselves to act like ordinary people. It wasn’t about strategy or magic or dark forces today. It was about living.

Along the way, they encountered several children. Each one wore a bright, hopeful smile. It was the kind of pure joy Finn hadn’t seen in a long time—like wildflowers blooming after a long winter.

Those smiles were real.

And they brought with them a subtle kind of healing. Finn could feel it—something inside him easing. Releasing.

Confidence. Lightness. Purpose.

And in a strange, quiet way, it elevated him.

By the time night fell, a cold wind had begun to rise from the nearby shoreline. It danced across their skin as they made their way back to the small apartment just behind the town’s main street.

Still, despite the chill, they felt warm.

That evening had meant something.

"Finn, how are you feeling today?" the witch asked suddenly, turning to him with curious eyes. She looked genuinely eager to hear his answer.

It was the kind of question someone asked when they really cared.

And she did.

"I feel... good," Finn answered slowly, thoughtfully. "This whole time in Westview—it’s been different. There’s no war here. No factions fighting for control. No fear. Just... peace. And because of that, yeah, I feel good."

He paused, then cast his gaze out toward the horizon, where the last traces of twilight flickered and faded.

It was brief.

But for now—it was enough.
