Marvel: My Eyes Defies Fate. Chapter 341

"Loki, God of Lies and Deception—are you serious?"

The room fell silent after Kurogai spoke. The words hit like a thunderclap. Even the usually unflappable Nick Fury struggled to process it. None of them had expected something this extraordinary.

It wasn't just the name—it was what it implied. For S.H.I.E.L.D., the idea of gods walking among men was almost absurd. There had been no contact with Asgard, no sign of Thor, no hint that such beings even existed. The Avengers had faced plenty of impossible things, but this was different. This was myth made real.

Kurogai's tone remained calm and detached, as if he were stating the weather."The universe is far bigger than you imagine," he said evenly. "Odin, the All-Father. Thor, the God of Thunder. Countless races exist beyond this world—some far stronger than even the gods of Asgard."

The words dropped like stones into still water, sending ripples of disbelief through the group. Stark stood frozen. Steve looked stunned. Even Banner seemed at a loss for words.Only Nick Fury's expression shifted from surprise to something darker—fear.

If Kurogai was right, then humanity wasn't just small—it was exposed. The universe wasn't waiting to be discovered; it was already watching.

Kurogai noticed Fury's look and smirked faintly. "You've figured something out, haven't you, Director?"

Fury swallowed hard. "I just want to know one thing," he said slowly. "Are there other alien forces already aware of Earth?"

Kurogai raised an eyebrow, genuinely impressed. "You catch on fast."

The air grew heavier as he continued, his tone almost casual."Many civilizations have had their eyes on Earth for a long time. The mutant gene, for example—it's linked to an ancient race from deep space. Their experiments on early humans are what created the first mutants. They were abandoned long ago, but their legacy remains."

Fury's single eye narrowed. "Mutants… connected to aliens?"

"Not allies," Kurogai corrected. "Just remnants of a failed experiment. That race no longer cares about Earth. You don't have to worry about them—yet."

His expression softened slightly. "You've learned enough for one day. Knowing too much can be… dangerous."

He turned to Stark, a faint grin returning. "I've already told you what you wanted about Loki. Now, don't forget our little deal—your mansion is mine for the time being. I'd like to see what it's like living as a billionaire."

Tony exhaled and gave a half-smile. "I've already informed J.A.R.V.I.S. You'll have access whenever you want. Just—try not to remodel the place."

"Noted," Kurogai said with a smirk.

Without another word, space rippled behind him, and he vanished—gone as suddenly as he appeared. No one spoke for several seconds. The silence was thick with awe and unease. Even after Kurogai's departure, the weight of his revelations lingered in the air like smoke.

Finally, Fury broke the silence."Everyone, listen up." His voice was firm but sincere. "What we just heard changes everything. But it also proves why we're here. The Avengers exist for a reason. This world needs you—all of you—to protect it from threats we can't even imagine."

His words struck deep. The team exchanged looks, each realizing how small Earth really was compared to the vastness Kurogai described. Their resolve hardened.

Steve nodded first. "Fury's right. Whatever else is out there, we start by stopping Loki. If he's half as dangerous as Kurogai says, we can't afford to fail."

The rest agreed silently. Stark's eyes narrowed with determination. Banner looked thoughtful but resolute. Humanity's defenders were ready to face what came next.

Meanwhile, far from their base, in a dimly lit facility, Loki stood over a table surrounded by blueprints and alien components. The Mind Scepter pulsed faintly in his grasp, its glow reflecting the cold satisfaction in his eyes.

Around him, Hawkeye and several S.H.I.E.L.D. agents moved mechanically, completely under his control.

"To open a stable portal," Loki murmured, "I'll need these materials. The Tesseract will power the device."

He paused, sensing something through his connection to the scepter. "So… they plan to form a team?" His smile widened. "Then I'll strike first."

The god of mischief turned toward the glowing Tesseract containment chamber. "Let them come. By the time they're ready, it'll already be too late."
