Dr. Ethan couldn't figure it out. He couldn't understand how it happened, even after thinking it over.
"You were unscathed?! Why?!" Unable to hold it back, Ethan exclaimed.
After saying this, he seemed to realize it wasn't the best thing to say and quickly added, "Although I don't want you to get hurt, I'm really curious—how did you avoid those bullets?!"
"I didn't hide..." Luo Bai replied, sincerity etched on his face.
"I didn't hide either...but why was I the only one injured?!" Ethan lamented, depression evident on his face.
In such a chaotic gun battle in such a small space, not only did Luo Bai manage to kill all the enemies, but he also came away unscathed?!
How on earth did this happen?!
Not only was Ethan confused, but Luo Bai himself felt a bit bewildered.
It had been such a mess just moments ago. By all accounts, he should have been injured.
Thinking about this, he couldn't help but ask, "Dr. Ethan, do you think I'm just lucky?!"
"You are indeed very lucky," Ethan admitted with a sigh.
After all, while being able to kill the enemy might have been due to skill, escaping unscathed in that situation could only be attributed to luck.
However, Luo Bai didn't have much time to dwell on it because the "battle" was not over, and more terrorists were waiting for them.
Realizing they had learned their lesson, the terrorists stopped sending people into the cave and shouted from outside, "Stark! If you don't come out, we will drop a bomb!"
The cave was so small that Luo Bai didn't want to think about what would happen if a bomb were actually thrown in.
Fortunately, the steel suit had completed its power supply by this time.
As Tony Stark stepped out of the room wearing the massive suit, Dr. Ethan cried with joy, "Finally done! We can leave this place!"
In his excitement, he couldn't help but cough violently.
Noticing his discomfort, Tony Stark asked, "Are you injured?!"
Dr. Ethan shook his head and quickly replied, "Just a minor injury; it's nothing."
"Thank you for buying me some time," Tony said gratefully.
Dr. Ethan insisted, "It wasn't me; it was him! Luo Bai helped delay for you. He defeated those terrorists!"
Luo Bai?!
Tony Stark was taken aback.
He turned to look at the fallen terrorists and then back at the "crispy college student" Luo Bai, a look of surprise on his face.
"He took out those terrorists all by himself?!" Tony asked incredulously.
"Yes! He's incredibly skilled, and his shooting is spot on. You could say his aim is flawless!" Dr. Ethan praised without reservation.
Tony Stark was puzzled.
A perfect shot?
Was it really that impressive?
Although he was curious, there was no time for more questions.
"Okay, Luo Bai, thank you, but we need to get out of here first," Tony said.
With the steel suit, it was much easier for the three of them to leave.
Stark fought fiercely against the remaining terrorists, and the base camp was almost destroyed in the chaos. All the remaining terrorists fled as things went awry.
Taking advantage of this, the three of them quickly escaped.
However, Stark's suit malfunctioned not long after, probably due to the intensity of the earlier fight and the suit's makeshift nature.
Fortunately, a plane searching for Stark appeared just in time.
Once on board, Luo Bai finally felt a wave of relief wash over him.
It seemed that fate still smiled upon him, preventing an early failure.
But how would he survive in the Marvel world? After all, he didn't even have a proper identity here.
What a predicament.

Luo Bai lost track of time during the flight, but eventually, the plane landed at a military base.
As soon as they got off the plane, Tony Stark approached him.
"Is your name Luo Bai? Where do you live? I'll have someone take you back," Tony asked.
After their narrow escape, Stark no longer had any doubts about Luo Bai.
To express his gratitude, he intended to arrange for Luo Bai to return home.
Unexpectedly, Luo Bai replied, a hint of frustration in his voice, "I don't have a home here."
As a time traveler, he didn't have a place in this different world.
Tony Stark looked a bit surprised and continued, "Don't you have any family?"
"I did once, but they're gone now," Luo Bai replied.
Tony Stark obviously misunderstood and, after a moment of silence, sighed, "What a poor kid."
Without waiting for Luo Bai to explain, he immediately called out, "Pepper, take him to my apartment to rest."
Soon, a beautiful blonde approached.
Luo Bai recognized her immediately.
Pepper Potts, Tony Stark's personal assistant.
After receiving the order from her boss, Pepper led Luo Bai to a Bentley.
Once inside the car, she expressed her gratitude, "I heard you helped Tony escape. Thank you."
Luo Bai shook his head, responding politely, "You're welcome; I just did what I could."
"I think you're tired. Let's get you to the apartment to rest first. Would you like something to eat? I can have it prepared for you right away," Pepper offered.
"Hot pot," Luo Bai replied after some thought.
After narrowly escaping death, all he wanted was to relax over a hot pot.
"That might be a bit troublesome, but I can ask the chef to prepare it for you immediately," Pepper said, making a call to arrange it.
This took only about fifteen minutes.
When the car finally stopped, Pepper quickly exited and opened the door for him.
"Thank you," Luo Bai said as he stepped out.
He was stunned when he saw the villa in front of him.
Wait, didn't she say "apartment"?!
Why did they stop in front of a villa?!
"Tony said that to thank you for saving him, he's giving you this apartment. I've arranged for someone to clean it, and all the necessities are provided. By the way, here's the key," Pepper said as she handed him the key.
Only then did Luo Bai understand the meaning of the term "apartment" in this context!
Tony casually referred to a villa as an apartment and just gave it to him?!
Though surprised, Luo Bai maintained his composure as he accepted the key and thanked her, "Please thank Tony for me."
"It's the least I could do. I'll leave you now, Mr. Luo Bai. If you need anything, just call the phone in the room," Pepper said with a smile as she took her leave.
"Goodbye, Pepper," Luo Bai waved as she departed.
Once alone, he eagerly entered the villa.
While Luo Bai's family situation hadn't been bad before time traveling, he certainly hadn't lived in a villa.
Especially one this large; it felt like a hotel!
But the location was fantastic, only two or three blocks from the center of New York City, where every inch of land was valuable!
After all, Tony Stark was one of the wealthiest people around.
While marveling at his fortune, Luo Bai explored the entire villa. Exhausted from his travels, he found a room and lay down.
Finally able to calm down, he reflected on everything that had happened.
Not only did he escape from a terrorist base, but he also managed to do so without injury.
He had worried about being homeless in an unfamiliar place, but Tony had given him a villa.
It felt like luck was on his side.
"I'm so lucky; it would be a shame not to buy a lottery ticket," Luo Bai couldn't help but think.
As soon as he said this, he felt something was off.
The image in front of him suddenly shattered, as if glass were breaking, the shattering spreading rapidly.
It enveloped him, wrapping him in a kaleidoscopic world.
"What the hell?!" Luo Bai muttered, sitting up from the bed in alarm.
As soon as he stood up, he saw a man in a yellow monk's robe and hood standing before him.
This figure looked familiar.
As Luo Bai pondered this, someone approached and pulled off the hood.
A shiny bald head came into view.
Ah... bald... it's the Ancient One!!
