In that instant, White Queen Emma's mind suffered a devastating shock. It felt as if a hammer had struck her consciousness, causing her body to sway. If not for Mystique's quick reflexes in supporting her, Emma might have truly embarrassed herself.
Regaining her composure, Emma looked up at Leon, disbelief evident in her beautiful eyes.

White Queen Emma was one of the rare mutants who possessed multiple abilities. Among them, her telepathy was second only to Professor X's, and she could even construct formidable psychic barriers.
Her mental defenses were so strong that not even Professor X could easily break through them. On top of that, she had the ability to transform her entire body into diamond. And yet—her powerful defenses had been shattered in an instant by nothing more than a single glance from the man in front of her.
Emma had heard of Leon's feats before and knew he might be the most powerful person in the world. But until now, she had never truly experienced his strength firsthand.
Now, she understood.
Despite being one of the world's most powerful mutants, she was as fragile as a soap bubble before Leon. If he had wanted to kill her, she wouldn't have been able to resist in the slightest.
Realizing this, White Queen Emma immediately offered a sincere apology.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Leon. I was too curious about your abilities and acted recklessly."
Leon glanced at the elegant and beautiful White Queen, then shook his head slightly without saying a word. Instead, he turned his gaze toward Magneto.
"I made Mr. Erik come all this way for nothing today."
"It was my mistake."
Magneto had witnessed Emma's reaction with his own eyes, so he held no resentment. He could act domineering in front of many people—but not in front of Leon.
So, he acted with humility.
After apologizing, Magneto took Emma, Mystique, and Sabretooth and decisively left.
The pressure emanating from Leon was too overwhelming, and it was suffocating.
As the group disappeared into the distance, Leon turned around and pulled Skye, who had been hiding behind him, into view. Seeing her pale face, he smiled.
"Were you scared?"
"Of course! That was Magneto!"
Faced with her beloved, Skye revealed her softer side, speaking with lingering fear.
"Although Mr. Erik has a strong personality, he's actually quite protective of his fellow mutants," Leon reassured her. "And they must have noticed your potential, which is why you weren't in any real danger."
"But they were really scary," Skye muttered, still shaken. Thinking about the White Queen, her expression turned bitter. "Especially that tall, blonde woman. She could have read my memories!"
Leon raised an eyebrow. "Oh? You figured that out?"
"I'm not an idiot," Skye huffed, rolling her eyes.
Leon chuckled helplessly before glancing at the scattered shopping bags on the ground. He bent down to pick them up and lifted his right hand.
"What did you buy today? There's so much."
"Yeah... I was supposed to be in a really good mood today."
Skye took the bags from him and checked them over. Seeing that nothing had gotten dirty, she let out a relieved sigh.
Still, Leon's sudden appearance had more than made up for her ruined day. Thinking back on how effortlessly he had dominated the entire encounter, she couldn't help but feel like she was in one of those cliché novels with arrogant CEOs humiliating their rivals. But compared to Leon, those fictional CEOs were nothing.
A small, secret smile formed on her lips.
Then, with anticipation in her eyes, she extended an invitation.
"Would you like to come and sit in my RV for a while?"
"Sure. I have something to discuss with you anyway," Leon replied with a nod.
Skye led him to her RV. It wasn't luxurious—by American standards, it was on the lower end of the price range, costing about thirty thousand dollars. It had nearly emptied her savings when she bought it, but it saved her from paying rent and gave her the freedom she wanted.
Inside, the RV was decorated warmly in Skye's style. Although there were some clothes scattered around, she kept it clean and free of any bad odors. A small potted plant sat by the window, adding a touch of life to the space.
Blushing, Skye quickly tidied up the bed, making Leon chuckle.
In the middle of the RV, there was a small table with two seats—her usual spot for working on her laptop. Leon sat down while Skye brewed a pot of coffee.
As she sat across from him, she nervously tucked a strand of her wavy short hair behind her ear. Then, as if suddenly remembering something, she leaned forward.
"Leon, what exactly happened today?" she asked seriously. "Why did Magneto and the others seem... afraid of you?"
Her curiosity was burning.
She had never imagined she would one day cross paths with someone like Magneto. And yet, even more unbelievably, the legendary figure she had met online—Leon—had appeared at her most difficult moment.
And not just that.
With an almost overwhelming presence, he had made Magneto and his group retreat without a fight.
In their words and actions, they had shown growing fear toward Leon.
This realization only made Skye's curiosity about Leon's true identity even stronger.
